Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, glitches will always exist. It doesn't matter that our games are getting better graphics or optimised engines, because bugs still persist in some form or another, and while there is plenty of variety -- from the annoying to the game-breaking -- there are some that get stuck in your head more than others... in a extremely amusing, but often "holy shit!" kind of way.
MMGN takes a look at some of the most bizzare, inappropriate and often hilarious "holy shit" glitches to come out of gaming in the last few years.
Try Not To Laugh | Dragon Age (2009)
Dragon Age: Origins is a very dialogue-heavy game, so I suppose it's expected for party members to get a bit bored and, well... just watch.
Donkey Kong humps his clone | Donkey Kong Country (1994)
This one just has to be seen to be believed. Someone put a lot of effort into discovering it.
Moveset swapping creates monsters | Super Smash Bros Brawl (2008)
Pikachu and Toon Link come straight out of a nightmare to become the new Freddy and Jason.
SHAUN!!!!!! (Spoilers ahead) | Heavy Rain (2009)
A hilariously inappropriate glitch for an otherwise emotional moment. Don't watch if you haven't played the game and want to avoid spoilers.
Get your head in the game! | Fallout: New Vegas (2010)
Fallout: New Vegas is a great RPG, but it has such a sizeable amount of glitches that it's impossible not to notice... especially when the first and most hilarious one pops up at the beginning of your new game.
Screaming Enemy | Mass Effect 2 (2010)
Hell, if I was that dude, I'd be shitting my pants at the sight of the ruthless Commander Shepard as well.
Recon glitch | Battlefield 3 (2011)
Battlefield 3 shows us the ultimate super soldier and how to strike fear in the hearts of your enemies online.
Skyrim Headless Glitch | The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011)
A game with the size and scope of Skyrim would inevitably face bugs. One particuarly crazy and freaky glitch was one the more ruthless players discovered -- after decapitating their wives, their wronged souls would stay standing and seemingly alive -- just, y'know, without their heads. Henry the VIII would have been super pissed off if this happened to him.
Kiss me before you score | FIFA 12 (2011)
The infamous FIFA 12 kissing glitch that sums up what I think about soccer.
10 years in the making | Aliens: Colonial Marines (2013)
Aliens: Colonial Marines shows us the quality of a game almost a decade in the making in a few seconds.
What are some of your favourite "WTF?!" glitches in gaming?
