Hello!

You may remember our song 'Teenage Dirtbag' from 2000/2001... and we are touring Australia again in September.

We are all VERY EXCITED and wanted to say hi to promote the shows a little, but mostly we really try to be the kind of band that interacts with fans a lot. So while this may look like a promotion post, it really is mostly a social visit! :)

We're curious to find out what the current scene is like over there... what live music have you seen lately? What are you listening to? Any great bands you want to share?

Also, are you familiar with any of our music?

But i have heard they are touring again.

Anyways, First of all, Welcome to the community ( :P ) and secondly, Teenage Dirtbag. Man that takes me back [MOG] Looking forward to seeing the Aussie tour dates and locations, Possibly even get tickets if i can.

It's legit, I promise. The online Wheatus world is a group effort but mostly run by three of us - Brendan (lead vocals/guitar), Matthew (bass) and Joey (worked for the band for 5 years, in charge of merch, press, etc)

Why are you so skeptical? Does it really matter if it's the real band or not (or members) which they did state

Plus all they are doing is letting us know tour dates. I don't see whats to be skeptical about, to be honest.

You guys realise Teenage Dirtbag is still huuuge in Australia? Gets played everywhere, everyone sings along still. Lots of bands cover it like Heller said, I went to Say Anything last week and a friends' band was supporting them and they covered it, crowd loved it.

Hahaha okay!

It's still pretty unbelievable that we are going to Australia. We tour the UK all the time, but our live setup makes it very expensive to tour at all. But the stage setup for the Australian shows are totally different anyway... YAY.
