Hello!

You may remember our song 'Teenage Dirtbag' from 2000/2001... and we are touring Australia again in September.

We are all VERY EXCITED and wanted to say hi to promote the shows a little, but mostly we really try to be the kind of band that interacts with fans a lot. So while this may look like a promotion post, it really is mostly a social visit! :)

We're curious to find out what the current scene is like over there... what live music have you seen lately? What are you listening to? Any great bands you want to share?

Also, are you familiar with any of our music?

You're saying that a band is bad because they are well known for something in particular? [Facepalm]

There are awesome bands out there that no one has heard of. To have a massively popular song, even if it's just one song, does not mean your band blows.

@Pilkingbod - What about non fans. They might know the song but not the artist. So promoting themselves as the 'The band who sung Teenage Dirtbag' is a way to get themselves remembered by a wider audience outside of the fans.

Look at it like this, If the thread title (which hasn't been altered by anyone) just said 'Wheatus returns to Australia' i believe a fair few people would be like "dafuq?"

It's just promoting themselves to a wider audience.

Also, If it pisses you off, Why waste your time commenting? It obviously means you just want to troll or have nothing better to do. IMO.
