I really don't think I'm going to get anything out of it. It's first in, first serve and there were still a few people who got a good deal.

I would have bought a Silver PS3 and a DSi, or two... :P

I went into the store near where I live at closing, not expecting to find much. A woman comes from out back with a stack of around a dozen games and starts scanning them through for herself -_-

They should have let staff clear the stock the day before. Letting them reserve them and buy them in front of the budding customers is rageworthy, and unprofessional, and bad.

I went to the store at 8:45 and there was a crowd of ppl lined up. When the doors opened everyone literally RAN in like f*kn cattle it was so annoying. Everything was gone in 5 mins.

But I did get my hands on Zelda OoT 3ds for $10 :P

some of the people in geelong yesterday were complaining about the staff getting everything but when they were lining up they were all like 'i'm going to grab all the PSP and DSi's they have and sell them'. people like that can't say anything about the staff getting first pick

I have a friend who works at woolworths limited (HQ) and he said parramatta dick smith were selling PS3 (that's weren't FIFA) for $10 =O yep that's no mistake $10!!!! I would've been cheering if I could get my hands on one of those

Same as mine, I was near the front and got my hands on that MW3 control because they were like you said, running like cattle. Then I got the headset from the southland store at about 130 in the arvo. They had one left, even makes sound effects as if it were one of the headsets in the game

I honestly think it is all crap. The staff at my store, apart from being extremely rude and condescending just basically laughed at us and said there was no sale until the 10th.

Everything good has already been taken by the staff by now and we all know. Doesn't bother me though, but their "sale" sure did waste my time.

So, in other words, the video game retail sector is dying quickly, and the only way to succeed is to hang onto the degenerating pre-owned market, which EB Games and GAME are doing. Dick Smith is getting out because it doesn't want to turn into the cash converters that EB Games is essentially.

I went into another DSE store today after watching 'The Hunger Games' they had a sign for G27 steering wheels for $139 but they've sold out. I saw Fallout 3 GOTY but it was still marked as $59 So I asked the guy in the counter and he said he can't sell it to me for $10 before the 10th of April. [Rage]

I went back to DSE and found about 3-6 of G27's for the original price, and there was still a few consoles and games that people are buying for cheap elsewhere, still on the shelves. Though alot of stock is gone. =\

Was at Southland yest arvo for the 2nd time and seen behind the counter a Dead Island case and said if they actually had the game and the hot chicky staff member checked but couldnt find it so i asked if i could leave my name and number so when they find it they could contact me, And lucky enought they called me today at 3:30 saying they had found it ^_^

After i got my game i noticed the young fella that was handing out the leaked list instore yesty and went over and started to ask him whats the deal yo with the 12th, He said he caint tell me any specific details but they will be getting in stock most of which was on the list but no one actually seen in-store, Then he said it will definantly be worth checking out just keep an eye out for details. :O

Also checked the 2 city stores this morning but nothing but scraps, They had afew G27's.
