From DC to Marvel and Web Comics to The funnies you find in the morning paper, comics can be found in lots of places. I read comics everyday, and have been for many years. This thread is for anyone and everyone who wants to talk about comics.

You read a lot of VG Cats and you want to talk about it? Do so here. You like to buy printed comic Books? Discuss what you're reading! There re so many different comics out there, surely there's much to discuss.

I'm enjoying the new Batman title too. Greg Capullo has been around for ages, he did the art in Spawn for ages which he took over from Todd McFarlane. He worked for Marvel prior to that.

I (love) Marvel. What Marvel stuff are you interested in?

EDIT: @Snix they recently released an oversized hard cover trade collecting the entire original AoA run (Joe Mad worked on one of the titles). Very nice.

I'm pretty sure that's it. I buy collected issues of big events too, like fear itself and secret invasion.

Can you recommended a good marvel title I should be reading? I don't like jumping too far into a series, Hulk and Spider-Man took a while to buy the collected editions and catch up all the reading. I've ordered the first 3 Avengers collected editions, I'm looking forward to jumping in.

Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev's run on Daredevil (and Alias/The Pulse as they tie in). One of the best titles you'll ever read.

The Avengers titles after Bendis took over.

Brubakers Captain America.

There's a lot of good X-men stuff (and a lot of dross). There's a new Jim Lee HC trade out now which contains a lot of good stuff. Probably best to start with Messiah Complex as it starts the lead into AvX.

Ultimate Spider-man.

The Ultimates season 1 & 2. You can buy these a number of ways. each season as either one or two trades or just one big one. This is a fantastic introduction fr anyone looking forward to the Avengers movie. www.kingscomics.com/...

That's the thing, I'm interested in reading a lot, I love most of the big Marvel characters :P

Can you reccomend any really good titles? Preferably that are't too far in? I don't want to have to read 100s of issues :P

I'd like to read some Hulk. I have a TPB called Hulk The End, and that was really cool.

Read some of the new ultimate comics spider-man, wasn't really interested.
Maybe some darker stuff? Like Wolverine? I dunno :P

I loved Ultimates Volume 1, plan to read 2 before Wednesday :)
But yeah, that was pretty dark (Ant Man beating his wife etc.)
So yeah, any dark marvel stuff sounds good :P

I just read about this on wiki and it sounds cool. My first impression is that it will be a darker more action focused version of Powers. I'll definitely have to check it out. I need to read more Preacher as well, only read the first volume so far.

Anybody read Locke and Key? I recently read the first volume and have been meaning to read more. There was going to be a tv show but the pilot flopped.

I'm not a huge collector or anything, but I've got a few series I follow. I've got all the Sin Cities, I just finished V for Vendetta which was wonderful. I've read DMZ which was pretty decent also. I'm about to start reading The Preacher again; I've only read the first edition but it was so long ago that I have to re-read it before I go forward onto the other volumes.

@Shiversul the Brian Michael Bendis/Alex Maleev run on Daredevil would be up your alley I'd say. It ties in (rather than crosses over) with the Bendis/Gaydos Alias and Bendis/Bagley The Pulse also.

Bendis had this belief that you just put your character in the worst possible situation for them that's posible and then just see what they do.

It doesn't hurt that Maleev's artwork is beautiful.

Maybe Wolverine: Old Man Logan.

the Cap stuff I mentioned above is great.

Invincible - it's Kirkman's (Walking Dead) ongoing Superhero title.

Y: the Last Man - all the men on earth die, except for Yorrick.

Start at the begining. Issue #13 doesn't even have Spidey in it, yet is possibly my favourite Spider-man comic ever.

Ultimate Spider-man is like the Walking Dead for me. It's about the characters more than the events.
