It seems that a few of us are starting to get into Twitch TV either streaming games our selves or watching other people play. Either way it can be entertaining. Heller got the ball rolling with a few sessions here pc.mmgn.com/... then Kero stepped up and did a few events him self showing us some classic N64 games like OoT.

I thought it would be a good idea to have this thread to share what we are all doing on Twitch. Share channels so we can all follow each other (signing up only takes a couple of minutes), also having a Twitch TV account allows you to chat while watching other people play.
We can also use this thread to help each other get started, what programs to use, settings etc.
Last but not least lets use this thread to notify everyone when we are about to stream a game. If I'm around and I see someone announce that they are about to stream a game I'll Facebook and Tweet it to help get more viewers interested.

I run everything on my PS3 and I have its splitting to my TV. I actually use that Component splitter I got from you Guyver :).

When I have time ill get all my settings and put it up here to people bass it on.

Seems to running well. I'm going to be testing Mass Effect 3 online for short while just to get used to it all. Basically a trial run to see if it's too laggy playing online and streaming at the same time. www.twitch.tv/...

edit: So how did that go? Looked laggy in my preview.

I was checking the options and it's locked in at 25fps if I want more I'll have to pay for it. I checked out the price and I nearly died, it's like 300 bucks for a 36 months subscription....are you ****ing kidding me?! That's just mental.

What are some other options I could adjust to get it to steam smoother?

I'ma try streaming a bit of ME3 MP using xsplit I'm not sure if mine is choppy either, didn't get a chance to play ME3 with it.

Streaming till midnight so about one game.

Guyver, you can lower the overall resolution of the stream.
Don't stream individual games, make sure it captures the region (ie your monitor) then it just renders that instead of re-rendering the game. Takes a lot fewer resources.

I can run LoL at 270fps for instance. When I stream the captured 1980x1020 screen of my monitor, that goes to 170fps. When I capture just LoL it goes to 45fps. zzzz

I'll try it again the next time I get a chance. Kinda rushed todays effort. I was just happy it worked to be honest...and it didn't cost me 300 bucks.

Alrighty.

I'm gonna be streaming some Pokemon starting in about half an hour.

I found something to make a tiny bit more interesting. All the wild Pokemon are COMPLETELY randomised, including starters. For all I know I could get a Lugia as a starter Pokemon, or a rattata. Should make for some entertaining Pokemanz.
