I've know we've had a few of these threads, but this one is across all of MMGN since I know many of you don't visit the movie section enough.

So what did you watch last and what would you give it out of 5?

Midnight in Paris - much better than I expected - 4.5/5.

I really enjoyed Horrible Bosses as well and yeah, although a bit pushy I think any single guy would love to have her as their boss. Although not sure what would happen if and when she got sick of you!

Yeah Gymnast scene was def the fav. I played it over and over.

And Tomorrow when the war began movie is nothing like Super 8.

We had the author of the Tomorrow series come to our school when I was there. You could tell he was writting for Children, dumb nuts.

Watched "the tunnel" last night it's an Australian scary movie with Blair witch documentary style filming it was ok could of been way creepier

I've read the entire series (7 books all up I think) all very good. The first book is pretty similar to the movie except for the end really.

Well, the movie too much of an action movie. Too unrealistic and no character development where as a book can make it feel more real. Real in environment and company.

Haven't seen that but kinda similar. From reading up on Super 8 on Wiki, Tomorrow, when the war began is meant to be more real, an actual war breaks out, no aliens. I guess Super 8 is Blair Witch meets War of the Worlds (kinda).

Phone Booth, was pretty decent! Only took them 10 days to film, I liked how it is in real-time the whole way through.

Thanks for the bold quote, I noticed I miss pelt witch. :P

I haven't seen Super 8 but the point I was making was that it's more alien/sci-fi and kids making their own movie than TWTWB, which is meant to be more real where an actual war breaks out.

Yeah, but I think you have the impression that the movie is shown in a 'found footage' style, ala Blair Witch, Cloverfield etc. That's actually only a very small part of the movie.

i just watched Hanna and Friends with benefits.

Hanna was good except it didnt have much of a full story line and the ending was abrupt.
Friends with benefits was funny i liked that they had an outtakes section on the dvd too.

I watched bran strokers Dracula yesterday.. first time I had seen it SINCE I was 12 or 13.. yes no joke I loved it when I was a young teen. didn't understand a lot of it till yesterday.. I thought damn I understand that sex talk at the start now :P

been on a statham binge recently. watched two of his 'thriller' movies :P

Cellular:
statham is not the leading man but plays a baddie for a rare occasion in this film. lots of other big names in this lesser known movie. its not that great but would have been better with a different director and kim bassinger overacts so badly in her roll. a good time filler with some twists. also features a cameo from a young jessica biel [MOG]
Score - 7/10

Revolver:
Statham again teams up with Guy Ritchie. I love these two and all that they are in and this does not disappoint. Statham's best acting by far as he carries this film. its got a typical Ritchie plotline that is hard to follow at times and leaves you asking alot of questions in the end. a great psychological thriller which makes you question yourself. also features Andre 3000 from OutKast fame which is different.
Score - 9/10
