Welcome to the MyPS3 Folding@Home official team thread!

Our team number is 60766.

The Folding@Home application can be found under Network in the PS3 XMB. To join the MyPS3 team, open up Folding@Home, go to options, identity and then join an existing team.

Folding@Home is an application which you can download for your PS3 which helps medical research on protein folding for Stanford University. Further knowledge of how protein molecules behave will hopefully lead to cures for diseases such as Alzheimers, Hungtintons as well as some forms of cancer. Please contribute as much as you can, as every bit of help counts.

If you have any questions about Folding@Home, feel free to ask.

All i can say is " Its an HONOUR " to let KOSMOS take me spot on the list, as he is "flying along" in his WU's ..... For each 1 i complete he does 2 or 3 lol ... Kosmos, the Folding @ home GOD !!!! lol

anytime my PC is not in use its churning Work Units (and sometimes when it is). my server is on constatnly anyway and just churns work units, and my ps3 churns them when its not being used. I have another dual core laptop here at home but I might keep that one free until I upgrade its memory.

i'm really pleased that more ppl are starting to take notice of this thread & lending a hand to this great project Folding@Home. Please guys do ur best to spread the word to friends & family, hopefully with bigger numbers of participants will come bigger, better & quicker results! (There has already been small-breakthroughs, but i dont really understand that sorta stuff myself sorry, just check the homepage for stuff like 'science' & 'results' links)

Hey ur from Toowoomba! Great! I used to live in Millmerran.. shopped at Twmba all the time!
Anyways - just checkout the homepage - folding.stanford.edu/ it provides all the info you'll need to know, but u can actually go into the program on the PS3 menu & lookup the info provided in the program... it also has all the links on there u need to know as well! Sony & Stanford really worked hard on this program & its been a great success!

hey guys, im interested in to know how i go about using my pc to fold WU's also. do i just download and run a the program you can download fromt the F@H site ??? or do i have to set up a server.!!?? im useless when it comes to technical things. especially the internet! if any1 could help me ( just 1 PC ) it would be much appreciated..... WE HAVE HAD 29 ACTIVE CPU'S IN THE LAST 50 DAYS!!! compared to the average of 18!!!!! thats good thatnks to evry1 who contributes

Just download and install the client, it'll happily sit in the bottom right corner of your computers display so you can pause it or stop it whenever you need to easily.

Xzadur8 - I'll be more than happy to show u how to install the preferred 5.04 'console client' version, so that it pretty much runs in the background, you can't even see it!

Same goes for everyone, just add me on MSN - lahmyaj@hotmail.com & i'll guide u how to install for max performance. Once your shown, its very easy to show others then!
