Welcome to the MyPS3 Folding@Home official team thread!

Our team number is 60766.

The Folding@Home application can be found under Network in the PS3 XMB. To join the MyPS3 team, open up Folding@Home, go to options, identity and then join an existing team.

Our team stats can be viewed here: fah-web.stanford.edu/
Folding@Home is an application which you can download for your PS3 which helps medical research on protein folding for Stanford University. Further knowledge of how protein molecules behave will hopefully lead to cures for diseases such as Alzheimers, Hungtintons as well as some forms of cancer. Please contribute as much as you can, as every bit of help counts.

maybe its like that, but i would think it'd be more like the computer's clients, where if your running some intensive programs etc. then your folding@home speed goes down temporarily as it just scales back its usage of the processor. The PS3 version might be able to release back cores for the game to use, so if its a first-generation game, the game might only need the power of 3-4 cores, Folding could use up the extra? im not really sure, but it could be possible to run it in the background im sure.

he might have returned all work units too late (over 5 days from date downloaded to date uploaded (returned))

go for glory! its good this thread has made 'sticky' status lol but maybe admins could make up a small banner or something on the homepage promoting Folding@Home and the MyPS3 team? i know a lot of big folding team's sites dont have banners or nothing on the homepage coz they're afraid its 'unpopular' for their visitors but i think they shouldn't be afraid to promote such a worthy cause
