PSV impressions? better than the Pii Eww lol, seriously it does virtually everything the WiiU does.

That new Wii is going to cost a fortune & will still be 3rd place tech wise once PS4 & the Nextbox release...

My thoughts?

Stupid name, ugly interface and games better suited to the home console and TV. No handheld specific titles, useless (to me) and probably prove to be annoying rear touch.

Ill probably still get one as im a sucker for tech but like my launch PSP itll probably get traded in due to lack of titles and piracy

Talking about Wii U, considering Sony copied the Wiimote wouldn't be surprised if the PS4 had a touch-screen controller :P

Pretty sure the PSV acts as a touchscreen controller for the PS3/4 by the transfarring/remote play so not sure how it's copying if Sony did it first.

Technically Nintendo is the one copying in this situation because the remote play function has been around for years...

If the Wii-U isn't copying Sony it's still copying Apple so either way it's not exactly a groundbreaking innovation :P

I guess my only question is what format will the games come in? Download only? If so I'm hesitant to buy, I don't trust any of the big three to competitively price their games on their own marketplace when there's no competition. Especially here in Australia.

Overall though I like it a lot. I bought my PSP at the midnight launch and I guess I'm likely to do the same with this. :P

They've mentioned about making two types of disc, one with large capacity and the other with a smaller one. To me that sounds like they're not abandoning the physical format just yet. Downloadable versions will probably be an option and released at the same time as the retail copies, but I'm also guessing they'll be priced the same :S [in my view the digital download version would then actually cost the gamer more technically]

FYI, EB have changed the price of the WiFi @ $348 now.

They are releasing games on a new type of media, it looks like an SD card.
Called NVG cards. They will be initially available in 2gb and 4th sizes.

I would also make an educated guess and say 99% of games will be available digitally on the PSN on release.
And yeah seen EB put up the price, should have jumped on the $338 lol.
Either way I am there.
This the metal gear solid HD collection and Dark Souls are my most anticipated gaming related things.

Gosh if your gonna say that the Gameboy Advance/Gamecube did it before both Sony and Apple. :P

But this is a whole different ball game. This is a controller for the Wii U not a seperate handheld console.

If all WiiU's are packaged with it then all games will be designed with it in mind, unlike PSV and PS3 where it will pretty much be an after thought with hardly any games incorperating them both.

To me its innovative and daring of Nintendo to stray from the norm and push this new way of playing games.

Yeah I wrote in another post I like the integration with the Wii-mote was just saying the innovation doesn't really come from the remote play feature as much as the ability to use the whole control with the TV screen & Wii-mote :)

We haven't seen alot yet hopefully it works out for them unlike the Dreamcast which kinda had the same intention ahead of it's time but i'm sure it will sell regardless it's Nintendo afterall :P

Not too shabby imo. :) If only they came with a game, I'll just wait for deals to come up near launch. I can't see this selling out...especially the 3G model.

Pretty much what I expect. $408 is a bit weird though, shouldn't it be $398?

Anyway, 3DS was $350 and I got mine for $283, so hopefully we'll be able to get it for under $300 at launch.

I don't expect the PSV to have a demand as high as a Nintendo portable product, we may not be lucky enough to see a DSE offer like they did for 3DS?! But yeah, a sub $300 for the WiFi model would be cool or if you can get a quality game with it. Either, if we get it just before xmas, I may as well wait for the xmas deals instead.
