Starting to get a little excited for this one. Arkham Asylum was one of those titles I thought would be rubbish and ended up being bloody fantastic!

I saw this in action yesterday.

Let me just say that it looks like Batman Forever: The Game, which is awesome because that film was wacky and outrageous and totally fitting of a video game.

The Joker, Riddler, Catwoman and Two Face all included. Preview coming on Friday :)

I don't think so. For a ten hour game, you can't get enough characters. It's not like they're trying to fit them all into a 2.5 hour movie ala. Spider-man 3.

What do you mean by played out? As in evolved?

I'm not sure how it progresses, but what I saw definitely alludes to tension, but sort of a "I haven't got a choice" mentality from Batman. The characteristics of each character seem to be spot on, including the relationships.

I was alluding as in 'Batman Returns' and the 'Batman animated series', a romantic interest is between Catwoman and Batman. I was thinking that Rocksteady possibly use those references to develop it even further.
Given the comment above, it looks like the opposite is true.

Yeah, there is definite tension. So it might lead into a romance? I can't remember Batman returns, but I remember the interest between the two in the television series. I'm not sure where it goes. The preview essentially ended with the two starting to work together.

just saw the preview....as expected, Arkham City is already beginning to make my nuts dance :)

the only one thing i worry about is that with the new kind of environments shown, i would assume that getting a level design as tight as Arkham Asylum managed is going to be a mega challenge. But then again, i don't think many of us expected Rocksteady to knock Arkham Asylum out of the park, either....
