Hey guys,

the only other thread I can find about this when I search is locked so I started a new one.

Wondering what the online community is like for this on ps3 nowadays. I went to bfbcs.com or something like that, and it shows there are lots of players online, but what are the servers like? what are the connections and community like?

I am getting either this or aliens vs predator next week and just want to know if this is still worth getting just for the multiplayer, I have played the single player before so only really interested in the online side of it, if it's not that good I might AvP for the skirmish style mode (I loved that in the first AvP game on pc)

i started playing this the other week and i have to say it exceeded my expectations ...call of duty doesnt really do it for me and its not a tactical game but i found battlefield 2 to be.

the single player was great ,only to find the online ****'en wicked! servers are quick at loading and no lag what so ever on playing! I loved MAG and this knocks mag out of the water.

Thanks for the help, it's $26 at work so I will get it from there (then staff discount will make it cheaper, lol) and just to clarify for tommo47 I didn't think the multiplayer was bad, I played the PC beta so I know I like it, I just didn't want to get it then get stuck on laggy servers full of wankers and heroes, lol.

But from what everyone has said it sounds like it is definately still worth getting. Can't wait to give it a go :)

I wish more Recon ppl should do more 'reconnaissance' like spotting enemies than running around selfishly. I don't like being Recon class but sumtimes I have to help the team because other recon guys are running selfishly. Recon class is useless in hardcore mode except for their sniper rifle.

I've only ever used recon, artillery strikes ftw *_*

@archr1val ....lol it took me nearly a week to figure out how these barage of bombs spontaineously dropped from the sky ...untill one day one got me and it zoomed in on the guy the killed me and it was some sneaky bastard in a bush with binoculars

I knew binoculars can send mortar strikes 8 years ago in BF 1942. In BF 1942 when u had a binocular, U select a target for artillery, then a teammate needs to be in a artillery gun to shot manually with indicators showing if the shells hitting the mark to make small adjustments to aiming. I was hard but well worth it but good thing its automatic just point n run in BF: 1942 ur scout has to stay to give u directions n takes 2 - 10 minutes (depends on skill) for accurate artillery but now its 10 seconds but BF: 1942 was more powerful.

I havent really gotten into multi so excuse my ignorance ... but what are you meant to do as a recon? I get its called recon because of obvious reasons, but is there something extra you can do? Once again excuse my ignorance. Played it once at a gamenight, with ym main duty being to shoot out of Skartehs helichopter .. i did terribly

I'm thinking of picking up BFBC2 just to get me geared up for Battlefield 3 later on in the year. Which stores are selling it for $26 - $29 as you guys mentioned? That's actually cheaper than anything I could find on eBay!

Kmart is $26, not sure about the ones for $29, but I'm guessing going on history JB would be a good bet, I'd love to get the one from dick smith, but none close to me either, lol

my only personal gripe about this game is i reckon your accessories should go on points like MAG and and not just limited to how many can fit into your boxes ...just so you can have a few more accessories.

@winga i played 3 1/2 hours straight this morning up to midday and it was sweet as ..been playing everyday pretty much for atleast 2 hours a day and havent had that problem

Well, I got it yesterday, played for a bit last night. So much different on ps3 than what I remember on pc, lol. It could be that I'm used to the killzone 3 style of play so I need to readjust, but I will admit I played pretty bad last night :P

I'll try to jump on again today after work, need to get better, lol
