Hey guys,

the only other thread I can find about this when I search is locked so I started a new one.

Wondering what the online community is like for this on ps3 nowadays. I went to bfbcs.com or something like that, and it shows there are lots of players online, but what are the servers like? what are the connections and community like?

I am getting either this or aliens vs predator next week and just want to know if this is still worth getting just for the multiplayer, I have played the single player before so only really interested in the online side of it, if it's not that good I might AvP for the skirmish style mode (I loved that in the first AvP game on pc)

I could never get into online for Bad Company 2 once I had played it for a few weeks. I mean, it's OK, but I didn't like the community very much. Not as, errr, intense?

The BC2 PS3 community is still going pretty strong, even on Vietnam. Unfortunately the teams can get unbalanced really really bad. The onslaught community is dead however, but I don't really play that with strangers anyway.

Apparently its server full 99% of the time when mates try to join me so was glad i had someone in my squad that could kick ass.

Maybe because the mic doesn't come free with the system like xbox mics do, lol.

Ihave a question with the mics though, whenever people use mics I can't hear what they are saying, it is always garbled and too quiet under the game noises. If you use a mic does it send JUST other peoples microphone conversations straight to your headset so you can hear them better, or does it send the overall game noise? I have never been a mic user, I don't even use my xbox one, or have one for my pc, but it seems to be almost a requirement for some games. I would like to hear the conversations on killzone 3 a bit better, there are some funny people on that game abusing other players and skitzing out :P

Although I hit circle like three times while in a chopper accidentally resulting in a suicide. [Facepalm]

The game was full the first time I tried so I just kept trying to get in.

I had the same problems for so long and the simple fix was to put my headphones on my ears that way only the peoples voices come through the headset and they can be clearly heard.

Aaah. So used to people bailing for a recon spot, to get on an AA etc i wasnt concerned when you 'bailed'. Dont worry i still hit circle occasionally.
1 of the times i was flying through the fences & trees scraping the ground at Bravo i was actually going for a roadkill & wasnt sure if you'd bailed because of my flying or if you had gone to kill him. I hovered around to pick you up but couldnt see you, then appeared back in the heli. Got the roadkill though.
Best kills were when we fought & took down 1st the Havoc, then the Hind then the Havoc again with what less than 10 health thanks to the vads.

More persistent than i.
I was on that map because i couldnt get in 2 mates game & they couldnt get in mine even with invites, lol.

One time I bailed out on purpose at C after we had killed a few enemies we were quickly taking the base while you were hovering down, I decided to jump out to provide ground support for when they respawned so that if you needded to quyickly take off you could and we'd still get the base capture.

You're really good at flying low, I struggle getting that low although mind you that was the first time I've been in a chopper for a while.

And I got sniped out the black hawk. :P

I wish PS3 has a throat microphone the microphone that the military uses that only hears ur voice only even ur whispering. XB360 has these but I find social interaction in online games makes playing online fun thats why I prefer playing with americans more than aussies depending what parts of australia there from and most aussies don't recognise me as aussie because of my accent.

lol i try to fly fast down low because ive been sniped when a pilot. The best snipe was an awesome shot from distance at Atacama. I take down heli's with the RPG & M2CG without tracer darts so worried someone like me will bring me down.
Still crash but generally if i do, its because ive hit something to quick, lol.
Love flying low at Atacama too, going around the ship & popping up over crests to unleash, etc.
Started flying about 2-3 wks ago & so wish i started earlier.

Damn disconnected ohwell good games tonight, I'm actually enjoying playing with the EAF boys it's good they know what there doing :P

I might use my mic next time, I think it will be much more help. I just cbf using it the last few nights.

I still get disconnected for a supposed inactivity damn it's annoying it's usually after a few hours of play but I'm active. Anyone know how I can fix it?

I think it's a router issue. -_-

A few people have trouble with disconnects and BFBC2.... Some people are lucky and have none though, EA/Dice shitty servers.

Yes teaming with EAF,AUF etc is a much better exp, then random peeps.

I never had bad connection problems on mine. Sumtimes they do server maintenance on Monday or Tuesday.

I think it is the router because I recently got a new one and it has just started to do it where as the old one was fine for Bad Company.

Yeah teaming up like that actually gives you a heaps better chance of wining and it's usually a lot more fun, good to see EAF with such a strong presence on Bad Company still.
