Hey guys,

the only other thread I can find about this when I search is locked so I started a new one.

Wondering what the online community is like for this on ps3 nowadays. I went to bfbcs.com or something like that, and it shows there are lots of players online, but what are the servers like? what are the connections and community like?

I am getting either this or aliens vs predator next week and just want to know if this is still worth getting just for the multiplayer, I have played the single player before so only really interested in the online side of it, if it's not that good I might AvP for the skirmish style mode (I loved that in the first AvP game on pc)

I rarely experience lag. The bullets in BFBC travel realistic both velocity(speed) and trajectory (bullet drop) so if ppl are use to playing CoD or any FPS have trouble getting use to playing in BF bullet physics.
U do get lag when playing ppl from Europe but the matchmaking does a great job putting u in a room with Aussies/Kiwis.

If you place the PC version you can simply filter servers via region. Awesome for the Aussie gamers ;)

That's the thing, I barely get put into a room with aussies/kiwis anymore. Apparently EA has taken off half the aussie servers to get ready for BF3, that's why it's lagging alot more. When I do get in an aussie game, I rape, when I don't, I die waaay more often (unable to knife people, losing every firefight, can't guide AT4 to chopper ect).

At least when BF3 comes out, there'll be more aussie servers >_>

Lol funny enough, I topped the chart today after a horrendous half hour of crippling lag. I figured I was useless at offence since my bullets never hit my targets despite being right infront of me so I danced between repairing tanks and blowing up M-COM stations. Ended up raking in a serious score in the end. Triumph!

Well I'm use to lag since I'm use to it playing online multiplayer games for 9 years. Back then lag was way worse than today's lag.
I feel old posting this 'back in my day' story.

I just bumped into a bit of a problem, guys. Maybe someone can help me out.

Basically, all my records have been wiped somehow...my stats are at 0 my weapons, gadgets, medals and vehicle stats...however, my score still shows up on the leaderboards and all my dogtags are still visible. What's going on here? I can still use all my weapons and gadgets in-game but it registers as if I haven't played at all in the stats screen.

My stats always get wiped. Don't worry though, they always come back. Just crappy EA servers ect.

I'm looking forward to having that feature in BF3 it will also make it easier to get everyone into the same game.

I had some really good games last night with most ending with a k/d ratio over 2 and most games were wins.

Gotta love when games go my way, although my last game of the night froze. =_=

I love how in Vietnam, when engaging PBRs, people rather try to blow up the whole boat with a rocket launcher or grenade launcher(which misses most of the time) than to shoot the guy driving or shooting (which is pretty easy).

For some reason I get lots of lag also get kicked out of games due to some server disconnect, can't work out if it's EA or my crappy Telsta internet, anyone else have this sort of issue?

I prefer playing with americans than Aussies to be honest.

EA servers always put me with other Aussies but sometimes EA do maintenance on Mondays.
