Codemasters has announced that DiRT Showdown will be released in Australia and New Zealand on May 24.

A demo will be released on May 2 on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network and Steam.

Am only quater of the way threw Dirt 3 which i had been looking forward to after complketing Dirt2 which was awesome, But Dirt3 got lost in my pile of many new games.

I'm going to have to Platnium Dirst3 before i buy Dirt showdown.

Nice! I'll give that that a try if it's available on Steam. Always like the effort they put into the PC version. The last 2 games had full multi-screen support with centered HUD.

I'm starting to make an effort worth Dirt 3 now, I need to at least make a decent dent in this game before I even think about this one. I barely touched the first game because it was glitchy for me, second was similar and by time I got it working other games got my attention and I forgot about it.
The Dirt series is good with some impressive visuals and presentation (a little over the top with some parts of the presentation) but there just seems to be something missing to make it addictive.

I'll put it this way it's a figure 8 race that has 5 laps which takes around 2mins to complete and that's it for the demo.

It was, It was just freaking awesome once you learnt how to control the cars without most of the assists. I usually only needed ABS.

I think $45 is a bit steep for this game. might get it on sale. I loved teh Derby in GRID.

Only $45 what about us poor console gamers :P at best we can import for around $55 or local will be $79 at best. :(
