Pandemic

The game takes place a few months after the events of Driv3r. It is revealed that both John Tanner and Charles Jericho survived the shootout in Istanbul. However, in the game's trailer, it is revealed that Jericho is escaping the San Francisco police in a hijacked police truck, causing havoc on the Golden Gate Bridge. After being hit head-on by Jericho, Tanner is taken to a hospital and left into a coma. The game will take place in Tanner's coma dream.

It looks pretty good, the plot seems a bit weird but I guess it could still be good.

So who is excited for this? I loved the first Driver game, it was fantastic. I played the shit out of that on my PC but my interest died off with Driver 2.

As soon as it allowed you to leave the car it lost all appeal for me, I didn't even bother with Driver 3.

I might check this out if someone I know has it, but I doubt I'll be buying it unless it is really good.

anyone feel as though the cars are too "american" i played each mission once and i just felt like the cars didnt want to turn and once you get a bit wild it takes a some skill to get it straight again.

maybe i was expecting a different dynamic like midnight club style driving but this does seem like the developers have tried to make a more realistic driving engine. dont get me wrong i still love the game and have it pre-ordered i will just get used to the driving dynamic

Weren't the Driver games always a little hard to control? I remember pulling off burnout and drift challenges in the first game being a little rage inducing at times.

I think the developers wanted to accentuate how the cars felt in the original Drivers (1 and 2), especially the heavy muscle cars.

Once you get the knack of how to turn the cars in DSF, it's pretty easy. You pretty much have to use the hand brake on every turn, and power slide the cars through.

i never really played the older driver games so i was just comparing to other arcade racer games out there. looks like i will have to keep practicing those missions to get the hang of it

Yeah I remember the first Driver being an absolute blast, I loved doing burnouts and executing perfect turns! Hope this one captures that spirit.

Burnouts and engine noises are awesome in this one. There's no burnout button like the old ones, but it doesn't really need it.

@Huddo, if you're not already, try the in car view. I find the cars easier to drive in this view.
