The demo was released on the UK PSN yesterday and all i can say is WOW. Such a promising title, day 1 for me (on PS3). Plus Andy Serkis involved is awesome he was brilliant in Ninja Theory's previous title Heavenly Sword.

@mega I would get it on xbox, the ps3 version has more screen tearing.

Developer is trying to fix before release but I dont think they will be able too.

And ill be getting it, although visuals are similar to HS and that game is 3 years old.

This game looks similar to that chinese folk tale 'Journey to the West' aka Monkey Magic but with a future twist. For example the main characters name is 'Monkey' who has a golden headband and a magical bow staff and the game is called 'Enslave: oddyssey to the west' similar to 'Journey to the west'. Correct me if Im wrong about my theory of the connection but Im a big fan to Monkey Magic and Journey to the west story n if my theory is correct I wouldn't mind having this. Downloading the demo now then later I give my thoughts.

@ LMAO i think your right on point there but none the less great demo platforming was really smooth and fluid, combat on the other hand was rather basic and there wasnt alot of variety in moves and combos but overall really impressed with production value great characters and good storyline.

Well the demo level just a training level just telling the story, controls n visuals but when u get the full game it will expand to a bigger platformer. So this game is based on the story Journey to the west even at the start with a guy woke up from a egg shape pod in the sky, he gets a high tech bow staff and a golden head band which kills him if he disobeys and he has a high tech hover board which looks like a flying nimbus. I like the demo n looking forward to this.

Indeed - both "Monkey Magic" and "Enslaved: Odyssey To The West" originate from the Chinese novel "Journey To the West". Although "Monkey Magic" (TV series) was from Japan.

Dragon Ball was kinda a Monkey Magic rip-off.
I like the futuristic setting to this story.
I remember play a monkey magic game on PS1 but forgot the name but it was really fun.

It's fantastic. Played it also last month when I interview Nina Christensen about the game. I thought people said Ninja Theory was a crap developer? If they can do a similar job with DMC, I'm looking forward to it.

Just played the demo, and :*O Wonky controls and camera. Lack of polish compared to Uncharted 1. Combat could get repetitive. The full game looks promising, but from the demo ALOT of meh.

i felt the same as you. Was seriously underwhelmed by the demo but the actual game concept appeals to me. I know the demo is only the tutorial lvl but i really hope the full game is more open and less linear.

I played the demo the other day and loved it, the gameplay wasn't that in-depth but the first chapter was only a tutorial, so its to be expected. The platforming elements were fun, and i'm enjoying the story so far. I'm sure the gameplay will be nice, but i'm morely looking forward to this game for its story, Ninja Theory have never really been about gameplay i've found, its the story that makes their games fantastic.

A shame I probably wont have enough to buy this on launch.
