[GD] Burnout Paradise

So, I got Burnout Paradise when I got GTA 4 and played it once, found it awkward and hadnt picked it up since I've been playing GTA 4 too much.

I tried to play Burnout Paradise today. I found it far too difficult. I loved all the previous Burnouts, but now I crash if I hit a car? It's always been a fun game.

Additionally, now with the fad of "open worlds" for everything, I am completely lost. The complete lack of structure means that from the get go I am meant to keep a track of all the jumps etc? It's just too much for me.

Anyone else found it difficult to play?

Oh, and camera angle, I can't see where I'm going, it feels like the car is just going too fast.

Maybe it's just me. Sigh.

yeah!! my burnout copy was sent today.. since they are only in melbourne i may get it wednesday!! can't wait.. might even get the demo disc out that i have and just drive around for no reason..

Awesome! The real game is 10 times better than the demo.

absolutely worth it, this game just keeps going and it never gets old, if you dont want to have a smash up, drive around the city and look for some gnarly jumps

Well GRID is very different to this game. Hard to compare the two. But Burnout is better IMO.

Thanks guys. Yeah maybe youre right. I just find Grid to be more of a simulation game and no career mode. I got my ps3 during the recent bravia promo so I'm just starting to buy some games. I must admit, I dont have much yet, well not much time to play yet so I think that fair enough.

But in all honesty, you don't really need it. The trophies are pretty straight forward, and most of them are pretty easy ... just requires progression through the licenses

its just drop in and drop out online, there are no lobbies from what i remeber and im pretty sure it was 8 players online, but they could've increasd the number of players online

i think when youre freeburning online (hosting it) you go to the easy drive menu then set up event type stunt run i think thats how you do it not 100% sure though

when your playing online as the games host, use your easy drive menu (press right on the D-pad) and the start up the stunt run.

OMFG I Just got my copy of burnout in the mail.. they only sent it yesterday.. cura was right!!! omfg
dam unfortunately the update will make me go over my internet limit... soo untill the 11th i won't be able to play burnout online because of too much lag

oh well thats what i get for downloading and updating too much.. i gotta work tonight anyway.. hopefully single player will be ok..

you know because i haven't had this game before the update is a whopping 385mbs, it has two download bars and says 1/3.. i probably won't get to play it till tomorrow..

Ahh, that huge part must be the bikes update. The bikes are really cool
