[GD] Burnout Paradise

So, I got Burnout Paradise when I got GTA 4 and played it once, found it awkward and hadnt picked it up since I've been playing GTA 4 too much.

I tried to play Burnout Paradise today. I found it far too difficult. I loved all the previous Burnouts, but now I crash if I hit a car? It's always been a fun game.

Additionally, now with the fad of "open worlds" for everything, I am completely lost. The complete lack of structure means that from the get go I am meant to keep a track of all the jumps etc? It's just too much for me.

Anyone else found it difficult to play?

Oh, and camera angle, I can't see where I'm going, it feels like the car is just going too fast.

Maybe it's just me. Sigh.

not justified by price let me tell you. $20, its pretty much a price of a full game if you buy online thanks to our exchange rate.

another island, but jumps are jumps, roads are roads - no new contents. still the same marked man, race, stunts etc. some cool jumps but $20. i aint cheap but for $15 you can get FF7 which is like over 100 hours of gameplay. for a extra for $ you can even get full priced PSN games like wipeout!

anyone who wants it, get pixeljunk series - more bang for your buck!

I would say this pack should've been $10.

Meh I'll end up picking it up in a few weeks, I'll support Criterion seeing as they have given us so much for free already....

Let's face it most games are released and forgotten about after six months, Burnout Paradise is still evolving, over 12 months since release, that is an incredible effort

Where are you coming from writing that sweeping statement mate?

What's too many?

A game that's been shown this much love and is still going is an awesome testimony to how great it is.

I hope there's 50 more updates before they can it. The only other game I can think of with this much love put in is Pain.

You're need to grow up. Oxfam is a charity - Criterion isn't. There's a lot of work gone into this. I expected it to cost more than this and it is brilliant. If you don't like it don't buy it. No one will suffer except you.

anyone here wanna help me do some timed challenges?
I tried doing it online with randoms and only managed to complete 1 in about 2 hours cause there is always 1 tool who will refuse to help complete a challenge...

btw I'm just up for the original timed challenges, I havent bought the big surf dlc.

yeh toy versions of the legendary cars lol but once you get 100% on big surf licence you get the street rod but that mean 45 billboards 75 smashes road rules have to get everything lol i done all challenges and ruled all roads today

lol 8 more events and ill have 100% already got the 10 trophies there easy n i got 2 more win a race in a toy car and a barrel roll in toy car because this is the first dlc i got for burnout

First of all look at your spelling.

Second, it does suck for its price and this isn’t because I need to grow up. I am actually probably older than you. It is BECAUSE I am older, that I realise it aint worth it for the price because I actually work for my money instead of getting them from my parents/centrelink.

This is not about how old I am or that I should pay for it because they have done such fantastic work. If your argument is right – how about you fork out $5,000 next time for Playstation 3 just because sony has done such fantastic work for the gaming industry in general because if it weren’t for them, we’d just all play Nintendo.

I know Criterion isn’t a charity – so that stops me from saying it’s a ripoff? I am not the only one complaining about it, a lot of people online complain about how expensive their DLC is. And people like you, say, just because they are still supporting the game etc we should all fork

Whatever they want us to pay for the DLC and just pay it. You do realise that by paying that much for a DLC for such little content just gives the developers more incentive to give you less for what you pay for.

So next time when your in the shop, don’t ask for discounts, don’t ask to price match, do not even import games from overseas due to cheap forex exchange rates because you are to stupid. Its simple. I mean, all the developers deserve the money, so please pay the full RRP at $110 a PS3 game, never contemplate whether to get a DLC because of the money. Do you have LBP? Please go buy all the costume packs, they are just dam cheap.

Damn! I was tossing up between the new Island and the C&R DLC but I got the new Island instead. I'll be getting the C&R DLC next payday so if you still wanna team up then.....
