Just got announced today and from what i read sounds like it's going to be hard.

"Notably, the sources indicate that Dark Souls will be substantially more difficult than Demon's Souls" [MOG]

Dark Souls will be multi platform Xbox 360 people will also get the chance to be owned this time round.

if you are human..
-you can summon others to help you (plus get invaded)
-supposedly better drop rates? (depends on humanity level)
-not sure if you do more damage...

Released by Future Press it still isn't available here in the UK, are you guys having any troubles getting it?

Didn't know there's a printed version. If you happen to get the Limited Edition, there's a download code for the strategy guide for your PC. If not, then look up online guides such as the one from IGN is your best bet.

Yeah theres a hardback edition from Future Press available but try finding it.
The code that came with the Limited Edition gives you 'part' of this guide in pdf format hence 'mini guide'
The guide at IGN seems like it is written by nOObs and is incomplete.

Wait till you get to sens fortress, traps everywhere. Although I have to say no matter how tough the later levels get I still hate the blighttown swamps more than any other place.

so people with the 360 version help me out, it says that kick is left stick + right bumper but my guy isnt kicking

same goes for jump attack

Left Stick Forward + Right Bumper. You cant hold the stick forward you need to tap it with the bumper at the same time.

Kicking things off cliffs = WIN!

Think God of War but on Steroids. Lots of hacking and slashing but used correctly as you have a stamina bar that goes down every time you do an attack or dodge. Stuff can 1 hit you and you die A LOT

It does have some RPG elements such as NPC's to talk to, leveling up and boss fights.

yeah i figured that out not long after i posted :P

its cool walking around and seeing different messages than were there earlier

there are a lot they say to jump off things though :P

...what about customisation??...and is the gameplay anywhere near like final fantasy? Coz I Fu****g hate final fantasy...plus I heard its tray good but lots if deaths, good or not for a player who just PLAYS games???...reviews haven't helped me in my decision on buying this game...

It's not like final fantasy at all, if I had to compare I'd say it's like a 3D Diablo with way more intricate combat and a better story, oh and tonnes harder of course.

For customization, they have tons of weapons, armors, rings, 3 classes of spells (and tons under each class), various stats to make a completely custom character.
