Can't believe there is no proper thread on this yet, but as alot of you may already have seen in the Live stream of the FF13 demo there was a trailer with in-game footage of Versus not of the game-play and unfortunately not as much action as was in the dengeki trailer. It's up for view at www.gametrailers.com/ & www.kotaku.com.au/ although the last one I found to lag abit. Both were uploaded from ja.justin.tv/ who was broadcasting the FF13 demo.

Will be worth the wait unlike FFXIII which was slightly disappointing IMO.

I assume it's like Micky said ages ago that Square are preoccupied putting all their effort into XIII-2...

According to nomura the next time we see Versus it will be played/shown on actual hardware by someone.

They're very very slowly making progress :P

Nomura shared the following details with Famitsu:

- Game has improved a great deal since it was shown in trailer form last January
- Graphics have been improved
- Real-time rendering improvement
- Ratio of in-game (real time) and pre-rendered cutscene events is 7:3
- Visual Works making pre-rendered cutscenes
- Cutscenes won’t interfere with gameplay
- Scene in which Noctis encounters Stella is now pre-rendered (this way it won’t interfere with gameplay)

Nomura wouldn’t reveal when we’ll next see Final Fantasy Versus XIII. He is hoping to show the game running on the PlayStation 3 when Square Enix is ready, though.

Well theres a few details about the game. :P

Yay it's still in development & not in the wilderness ie cancelled ^_^

I expect development to pick up the pace now they're done with FFXIII-2, hopefully an early 2013 release is on the cards.

I think so but knowing Square I wouldn't be surprised if they back flipped, I reckon it would be a better game overall if it was just developed for the one console with no restrictions.

It's not really worth porting to Xbox when you look at the sales of FFXIII, Final Fantasy will always sell a ton more copies on a Sony console just like Mass Effect would for 360.

It will stay PS3 exclusive. One of the reasons you can't go back to previous areas in FFXIII is due to 360 disk size, so that you don't need to change disks all the time. Also, CG scenes were cut.
It's a better product exclusive.

I also think a late this year/early next year release.
