Hi guys, i dont know about you guys but i personally reckon this title looks very very promising, a very ambitious title and the trailer looks excellent, this could be one of the best mafia type games ever made, something the gaming industry needs more of in my opinion,

We all know what Rockstar Games are capable of, this has HUGE potential. I say whack it in the games list asap.

yeah im taking my time too, only about 8 cases in. still so much to go [Derp] already done about 18 street crimes, doing them as they appear.

the red lipstick murder is the first case where i didnt find all the clues, i think because i didnt go interrogate the husband at the station.

Played a bit more Sunday, and finished my first case. I completed ten 'side missions', and I find them repetitive. You just blast people 99% of the time, and the same animation plays at the end Cole radios an ambulance.
I find it hard to distinguish between a 'lie' and 'doubt', as the facial movements are pretty similar.
Later on after a break, my PS3 'broke'. I cannot insert any discs in the drive slot (no, I don't have a disc or anything else in the slot). I switched the machine off and on, and when I press the 'eject' button, the drive makes a weird noise.
Now, I have to take the machine in for 'warranty repair'.
Bumma.

im not happy with the game.... not as good as i had hoped, be better with a multiplayer or co-op option (friend could be your partner). seems to be no difference between doubt and lie... also cant just whip your gun out and go on a rampage like in gta... no jump button... everyone you chase seem to head for a roof..... i find it repetitive and it gets boring fast.. good graphics though and awesome facial expressions.

I don't know, I wanted cash anyway as I've already got a Game voucher for just under $100 so I'll use that on my next game purchase which may be Duke Nukem.

Oh yeah. Mafia 2 does not even belong in the same sentence.
This game is a true masterpiece. In my opinion one of the best games ever. It is not for everyone, that is certain but the ones who do enjoy it (and don't get upset because they cannot run over people and go an GTA style rampages) will marvel at the wonder that this is. There has been nothing like this, sit back and enjoy the journey but please don't blame the game for not allowing you too go on mindless crime sprees. That is not what it is about. May as well complain about not being able to stab the crowd in FIFA.

Oh no, you kill most criminals. The game forces you but you cannot kill 'anybody' ala GTA.

Really enjoying LA Noire just started it today great facial animations, dialog & gameplay, shame you can't skip all the cutscenes restarting from beginning of the chapter takes a while.
