New Medal Of Honor Revealed As "The Most Authentic Modern War Experience"

Electronic Arts has officially announced the reinvention of its first-person shooter war game Medal of Honor, bringing the franchise into the modern age and deploying it to Afghanistan, promising "the most authentic modern war experience" for fall 2010.

The all-new Medal Of Honor is currently in development at EA and DICE, responsible for the game's single-player and multiplayer components, respectively.

Medal Of Honor will make its video debut at the Spike TV VGAs on December 12 and hit the PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, PC, and Nintendo DSi next year.

That amply bearded, box-art starring soldier is a Tier 1 Operator, "a relatively unknown entity directly under the National Command Authority who takes on missions no one else can handle," according to EA's announcement. The new Medal of Honor—known simply as Medal of Honor—will give gamers a chance to "step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan."

Yep that just put that on number 1 on my wish list. FYI to battlefield noobs the Battlefield 3 is the sequel to Battlefield 2 not the Battlefield spin off BF: Bad Company 2 ;).

Yep but my all time favourite in original BF series was BF 1942. BF Bad Company is just a spin-off and I also like BF Vietnam but not many others do.

Yep Battlefield 1942 is the Holy Grail of battlefield style games. Maps where x10 bigger than BFBC games. In Battlefield 1942 u can pilot planes n heavy B-17 bombers, control submarines, battleships, carriers, tanks, jeeps, artillery and etc.

Major Graphic Overhaul

The graphics have been overhauled and upgraded. We are happy to report that the game looks even more spectacular than before.
iam happy with the beta graphic ... but hey its a beta iknow its gonna change anyway.

When I played MoH: Frontlines on PS2 I do remember playing split screen multiplayer so MAYBE there will be multiplayer mode for the PS3 version.

Prone promotes camping.
I heard that single player will have prone ability, can sum 1 confirm this?
I know many games that SP controls r different than MP and I'm not worried about no prone ability because in urban, close n fast pace combat prone is useless.
