WelcomeTo the official Myps3.com.au Metal gear solid 4 General Discussion thread, Here you can talk anything Metal gear solid (Limited see rules for details) and Celebrate the Release with everybody else here.

Why Bother? Why not? I mean the greatest game of the year is here and I think everybody here would like a Nice thread for everybody to share their thoughts, Ideas and Progress in the game.

The Rules of the Thread

1.Spoilers must not be tolerated unless if in a Link, also you may not comment about it or mention the description when giving the link ,Give the chance for the members to decide if they want to be spoiled or not.

2.No spamming, Please keep the Spam at minimal I will have Longarms monitor it if I feel the need spamming it out of control.

3.No Flamming, If you have a problem with a Member let Longarms know or any other admin and action will be taken please don't take it into your own hands because it could end up with both getting consequences.

Yes they are all basic rules for the site but I have to re-mention them Because I know people tend to Break them usually, but the Last rule still remains...

Have you checked youtube Lately, they had metal gear saga volume 1 and 2 there I don't see why this shouldn't be there.

It'll be a bit harder with the LE documentary though, since it's on a BD.

There's heaps of Blu ray players and Burners that now come standard with PC's and Notebooks, there should be at least a Video up there...

just bought msg4 this afternoon.... and just finished Act 1..... may i say the story is awesome and gameplay is pretty good... hope it isnt short like uncharted or heavenly sword.... like to keep my games longer lol

Guys, if you haven't already, I highly recommend buying the MGS4 OST. Beautiful package, AMAZING music. The Old Snake theme is an instant classic; I love it.

I usually skip past cut scenes but I'm hooked watching these ones. It's a very interesting story even though I haven't played the previous games.

Wow, good on you! I didn't think somebody new to the series would enjoy the story. There's quite a lot to it. But if you can, try to get the old games. The complete experience is so much better.

It's there any part of the game that you don't like? I love the game so much, it's that perfect, it's a masterpiece? but there it's must be you don't like...here is what I don't like.
1. Gameplay it's too short, it's took me 15+hrs on Normal (Playing on hard atm...and it's fooken HARD...:D)
2. Too easy. when you can just buy the guns and ammo, whenever you needed. Even boss fight, only when fighting with Vamp..
But it's still a awesome game after all...

My only gripe is that sometimes the cut scenes can drag on for too long when all you wanna do is play the game. Although the cut scenes are the best I have seen in my life, they are still sometimes too long.

Thats basically it. I am sure the second playthrough will be way more fun though, because I can just skip all of the cut scenes

Made by someone who cant afford a PS3 im assuming? Cant believe people even think its possible, its impossible for MGS4 to work without Blu Ray, which 360 hasnt got....

agreed, i just watched the bonus making of bluray - Komani have such a history with Sony that I doubt itll ever happen with Microsoft.

And also agree, the model that plays Octopus is identically gorgeous in real life.

It was annoying how there wasn't much traditional MGS sneaking (especially in Act 4, and I didn't have any chaff for those damn dwarf gekkos! >.<), but the sneaking that there was was very fun. I spent an hour getting the last sneaking bit perfect without any alerts. Frustrating at times, but when you succeed it's an awesome feeling.
