I believe you can , the guy I swapped High Velocity Bowling for got it by using Entropay & the US PSN so should work for Rock Band DLC.

4.95% to load money? Damn! I think PayPal allowed you to load money without any fees ... in fact, I think they encouraged you to load up your account balance ...

I think I can hold out for a Aus release of Rock Band but then I think maybe the US version would be better cause then I can get DLC straight away instead of waiting months for AUS PSN to release DLC like they do with GH3. Im also waiting to see if the patch for the GH3 guitars for Rock Band will ever get released cause I already have 2 GH3 guitars & the singstar mics which work so Id only need the game & drums.

Man, I reckon that patch will never be released. I know I'm being pessimistic, but probably being realistic ...

Once I get my RB from the USA ... I'll be super happy if (1) Entropay works (and not a scam lol) and if (2) I can use Entropay successfully on the American PSN (I have an American PSN account setup)

Yeah im really tempted to buy it from the US like yourself, also a fender guitar would be nice, & I really want to play them drums. Be cool to have a MyPS3 band & jam together online.

I'm hesitant on buying a US version because of the same reason...

But also because if the AU store gets different tracks that might not be able to be played on the US version. If a Silverchair track became available in the AU store- id be hell pissed.

And if you cant play online with others that have the AU version...

Just my thoughts/worries.

Yea, I just thought of that! lol. If that happens, maybe purchase RB (game disc only) again, but the Australian version? Sell the American game disc online to some American lol.

Instruments should still be the same.

But I guess we won't really know if we can play against Australian people with the US version until we try it with the game disc ... (and possibly have to wait for the Australian release still)

We won't know if Australian PSN RB content would work on the American version unless we try it ... but we would have to wait until RB's released in Australia, and the PSN store gets updated (which takes FOREVER!)

Well it appears now that Amazon has increased the price of the drum kit to around US $80 and you cn now import these to Australia for about AUD $40 shipping for priority courier. They also have a heap of games and various other ietms including the Rock Band game only and GTA 4 (US 59.99 for game only or US 89.99 for special Ed which should be uncut if you compare to the Australian versions of the previous games) that they will ship to Aus too.

They still wont ship the bundle though.

They might learn next time due to poor Aussie sales. I can't believe this came out last November in the US.

Australia is a very small fish in a big pond, do you really think EA will care if we spend our money on something else. America, Japan & Europe are much bigger markets & will always be more important to companies like EA. The Australian release has been pushed back because they have been concentrating on fixing issues with the guitar & drums & replacing these parts to customers in the US. At least when it is released in Australia it will be without any problems with the hardware.

The guitars had issues, they were breaking only after a few hours play (I think it related to the strummer, ill look it up), they worked out what was the problem & offerred everyone new replacements & all future bundles were repackaged with the new guitar.

There were some reports of the drums also breaking from people getting a little carried away & stomping on the pedal, afterall it is plastic, Im not sure what they did about this but it wasnt as big a issue as the guitar. When I finally do get the set I think Ill play the drums barefoot & try not to be too heavy on the pedal.

Also the wiki page says the bass pedal was snapping in half so Id take it easy with the pedal for sure. en.wikipedia.org/

Oh snap. What happens if my guitar/drum broke?

They won't fix/replace it will they ... seeing that I'm not in America.

Guess it's risky. Probably have to purchase a 2nd peripheral hey ... =/

You should be ok with the guitar now seeing they have fixed the issue but just be careful with the bass pedal, common sense says you shouldnt be hitting it too hard with your foot but I can see myself getting a little carried away on the drums LOL, another reason why Im thinking of waiting for the Aus release so I can return it easily if needed.

Im sure EA would still replace anything under the 60 day return warranty, you would just have to send it all back to America thou so it might cost you a bit. Id be a bit annoyed if something broke say on day 61 LOL

I have not heard anything from the seller yet. I will allow him until tomorrow and then start bugging him. I was hoping to have it by the weekend instead I guess it will be Monday or Tuesday (all going well) before I am drumming and strumming.

As far as parts go.... If you get a little carried away and break the footpedal, you can buy replacements. Not to mention the drums etc as I mentioned before are now available via Amazon.

I guess all the what ifs come into play but man, I have been hanging to look at this game for quite some time and if I have to pay a little more to do so by running teh risk that a peripheral may break, then hey I am prepared to do that.

The day after AT THE LATEST.

And whilst checking out on ebay, I noticed that the seller wrote that a tracking number will be provided. Which should be good!

And I checked his positive feedback record, he's sold quite a few Rock Band bundles to happy customers.

We're probably too impatient hey ... lol!

The guy does check out and that double with the fact that the package is fully trackable is why I went with him.

I think you are right about being impatient though..... Cant wait !!
