Nah that wasnt with shipping, shipping is another $97, depending on who you buy it from on ebay you can get for about $300 AU including postage.

I havent played it Dante but wutang certainly thinks it is by the sounds of it. Heaps more DLC for it on the US PSN than GH3, got the option of co-op 4 player online or offline. I really only want it for the drums but my missus proberly have a go at the singing too or guitar, I just wish they release it now in Australia & stop putting it back.

Considering they are releasing it in the UK on the 22nd may as a pack WITH ONLY INSTRUMENTS NO GAME INCLUDED i'd say all bets are off were gonna get the pack like they did in the US

It's being releases in the UK with a mic, guitar and Drums. NO GAME INCLUDED.

You gotta buy the game seperate.

They have already lost all the customers who got sick of waiting and bought Guitar Hero instead.

The shipping costs bump the price up i hear? yeah right...they gotta ship the thing to the US as well but their price is only 169 US

Yea, I do. What really sealed the deal for me, was the drums.
And the 4-player multiplayer ... local and online.

About the DLC, I love Rock Band and the number of songs they offer on the PSN. I don't know much about Guitar Hero's DLC, because I always planned to return the game (within EB's 7 day policy) because I had my eyes set on Rock Band the whole time.

I'm glad RedOctane split with Harmonix ... because Harmonix made one kick arse game!!

Does anyone know how to contact EA games to complain, Longarms just showed me a link that says EA still has no intentions of releasing Rock Band in Australia even thou it is being released in the UK soon.

This is bull****, I almost feel like doing a personal protest & never buying a EA game again but what good will that do, nothing, but id sure like to write them a email & tell them how pissed off I am. Only real option now is to import the game from America but not having a warranty really worries me & Im not waiting until next year to get this game, by then Rock Band 2 will be out in America proberly.

EA you suck almost as much as EB.

Im gonna import, ive decided, just trying to talk a few sellers on ebay into shipping to Australia, Im trying to get the set that just comes with drums & the game or just buy the drums & then buy the game, I can use my singstar mics & Ill get guitars later. Im no longer worried about the warranty with the drum pedal braking as they sell repair kits with steele pedals to replace the plastic one so if it happens it can be fixed.

Kotaku have been reporting that EA Australia might not release it here at all because they're afraid ofthe price they would have to charge for it.

If they do release it here i'm considering buying the set on ebay and just buying the game here so I can get the DLC.

EA are really taking the urine out of aussie gamers lately.

Just import Rockband, it'll save you a fortune. They're talking of being able to buy a Wii or an Xbox 360 for the same price as the Rock Band accessory pack... if that's the case, we'd be looking at $399ish. Now work out whether you can import cheaper! :^)

on a few sites like gameplayer.com.au they were saying they have a contact at EA and were told it will be $300 aussie dollars for the instrument pack and another $120 for the game...and you gotta buy dlc seperately.

That is 420 for the game.

Just don't buy it to send a message or buy Gh3 AND 3 other games for that price.

Guys,

At the end of the day if you want this game, you will import it. Despite the fact that there is no warranty. Like myself, Wutang and a few others did. The price I paid was around AUD $280 which is certainly less than $400 to $420. The game is unbelievable and I have not regretted the purchase at all. Despite not having warranty.

The world is fast becoming a smaller place and all accessories can be easily imported from overseas. So if anything went wrong and a drum set or guitar broke then you can replace it. Sure it might cost a little more but hey, at $280 for the complete set I still have $140 to play with on accessories and I plan to use that shortly on a frontman guitar.

The set is quite sturdy as it is but lets face it, the instruments are game accessories and not a real guitar or drum kit so you treat it as such. Dont carry on with the drum kit like you are a real drummer and bang the CR?P out of it. I am sure you will be fine.

It has been noted several times that you can use Singstar mics with this game. For those that are looking forard to the singing you could always buy game independently on Ebay and then use your mics. If you like guitar then import a NYKO frontman with it and have an addition guitar for GH3 as well. Import a drum set at a later date, they sell for about US $80.

You can look at acquiring this game in many ways but long story short, you will generally always come up under the proposed price of $420 listed above.

Yeah Ive decided im gonna import it, found a few sellers on ebay willing to send it to Australia, postage can be anything from $95US to $130 & RockBand is about $150US to $190 so Im hoping to get it the whole package for under $300AU. After I told the missus Im spending another $300 (got the G25 last week) she went troppo on me LOL but to keep her happy Im gonna sell a few things to raise the cash needed. First to go will be a Black Douglas Bar Fridge I won in a competition last year, already got a guy who wants to look at it next to my work so hopefully can get $100 for that, then Ill ebay a few old PSP games & UMD movies I dont need & maybe a couple PS3 games & I should have enough to buy RockBand

Nightphant do you know where I can buy a NYKO frontman for PS3, could only find Wii ones on ebay. If that guitar works on both RockBand & GH3 then I could also sell my extra GH3 guitar & buy that, then just have to buy the drums & game.

I saw a couple on Ebay a few days back. You are right though, none are there at the moment. Amazon has also sold out but wont ship to Australia. I guess its a pretty popular item at the moment.

Well Im gonna try & win a auction for just the drums & game , couple people have some used sets too, looking at about $145AU to get the drums & games including shipping on one particular auction that has my interest, so thats not bad, & already got the singstar mics so then Ill just wait til theres some NYKO frontmans for sale, all I really want is the drums anyway.

EDIT: well ive done it, just paid for a RockBand Drums & Game set, cost me $149AU all up with shipping & insurance included. The seller said he only used it for 45 mins but had trouble playing due to a medical condition (cancer of the spinal cord) so its in mint condition. Hopefully wont take too long to arrive then I can play some drums.

Are the drums hard to play ?, & I mean on easy/medium, I can hardly play GH3 on hard so I cant see myself doing it on RockBand.

The drums? It's tricky at first because no one's used to it (unless you played drums before?)

Once you get the hang of it, by goly gosh it's so freaking fun!

Btw, I'm very excited when I'm able to complete a song on Hard on guitar
