Following on from last year's My Player Thread , here is your official thread for My Player in NBA 2K12.

I'm going to start a new player now as I kind of rushed through my initial player and haven't spent anywhere near as much time or effort on making him.

Share your players and tips here! I'm also going to create a My Player tips article later today.

I am hoping my copy arrives today from mightyape.

My player on NBA2K11 was f%^%#ng immense and had me hooked - i am not even a huge basketball fan.

Looking forward to creating another 3-point monster! Best career mode in a sports game i have ever played and what FIFA needs to aspire to!

So just finished my rookie season playing 60 of the 82 games for the not so mighty 76ers. We finished 29-53, shocking record considring we traded for Rudy Gay, Brandon Roy and OJ. Took out ROY (what a tough draft class :P) and finished second in the 6th man race, even though I was a starter for the 2nd half of the season.

My end of season stats were; Gp: 82 mpg - 30.7, ppg - 17.9, rpg - 4.2, apg - 2.1 and spg - 1.2

Had a high score of 40 and had the league high for minutes in a game with 45. Just put in a trade request for either the Hornets or Spurs. HOF here I come!

Yea lol well I have been playing since thursday and was vomiting all throughout the night so I have today off work and have been smashing my player.

Just got traded to the Knicks!! Too bad the trade was me and Rudy Gay for Carmello and Dahntay Jones. Oh well, Amare, me Rudy and Chauncey will win it all! LOL Our starting centre is Big Ben.

How could you not win 6th man of the year? Yo should get league MVP with those stats!

Did you really play 60 48 minute games since Thursday??

For a second I was reading that wrong and thought you had 30.7 ppg along with 17.9 rpg. :P
Still nice stats for a rookie. Can't wait to see your progress report for the Knicks. Will be a fun team to play in.

Not sure what my stats so far are. I think it's around the 15ppg, 3rpg and 3apg mark along with 1spg. I'll need to check it out to get the actual stats so far. Around 20 games into the season.
Recorded my first double-double my last game with 29 points, 1 rebound and 10 assist with a nice 5 steals. So tough to get rebounds at times. I always end up getting boxed out everytime I attempt to run inside.

Anyone else having the issues of players getting traded all over the place? I find it hard to play when the teams become so unrecognizable so quickly with bizarre trades.

Yeah, within 15 games Pheonix has gotten rid of Nash, Brooks, Carter and Fry...
Absolutely ridiculous.

Just in My Player or Association?

I flew through one season in Association and noticed a few players on different teams but nothing especially outrageous.

Yeah Nash was at the Pacers was within my first 12 games.

I misread your stats too I thought you were averaging 30ppg and 17rpg! And only won 6th man lol

lol I though you had misread my stats. Didn't think that 18ppg was MVP worthy :P

haha nah I didn't play every game on 12 min quarters, would have taken me forever! Just trying to get through my first 2 seasons quick, but still effectively. Will end up playing every game from 3rd season onwards probably.

Got my first A+ today, 7 minute quarters, still playing Pro though. Once my player gets better I may up the diffculty.

Was a pretty good all around match with my 6 Foot PG.

13 Points, 3 Rebounds, 13 Assists, 4 Steals, 2 Blocks

My Warriors just made some wierd trades.
Got Amare for Steph Curry and David Lee, we also got Shane Battier and Tony Allen for Dorrel Wright.

Not sure about the first trade but at least we got a Superstar for the uprising stars, and the 2nd trade I really like, we trade a marksman for 2 great perimeter defenders and Battier can shoot the 3 just as well as Dorrel.

Just wanna share my stats because ive been playing 2k11 for so long and saved money alot instead of buying games, on 2k11 i played 10 seasons and i played the whole game and no simulation..

on 2k12 i just played 25 games with Hall Of Fame Difficulty and my stats as a 6.6 Sg Athletic:

17 ppg
3 apg
4 rbpg
.08 bpg
2.7 spg ( 2nd in the league next to cp3)
1.3 topg

ive been usually getting A- for my team chemistry
the funny thing is my team kept on trading starting lineups (btw im with NYK) Melo and Amare and chauncey and Laundry were traded and now we have J.smith, Horford, Iguodala, Nash.

Yeah, the trade logic is kind of stuffed. There are a lot of teams that trade star players for star players. Just check out the transaction list. I think it is being addressed in a patch soon enough.

Was drafted by the suns at pick 13 as an all round SF. Only took me 5 games before i was starting, averaging 18ppg, 5rpg, 4apg, 0.3spg, 0.8bpg. got sick of losing so i asked to be traded to the celtics and got traded after my 15th game.

First game for celtics was against the heat. I started and was on lebron. I got ripped apart, scored 13points 3 reb 0 assist 0 stl 1blk. He scored 18 / 8 / 1 / 1/ 2, but most of his points were while i was defending [Facepalm]

Only playing 5min quarters on pro atm, will go 12min and up the difficulty after i win a ring this season :P
