Big Ant Studios is proud to announce that they are to develop Australian Rules Football for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Following up on the recent announcement that Big Ant Studios are expanding into Queensland, comes the exciting news that they are to produce a fully licensed AFL video game.

So Blue Ant are taking over from IR Gurus (thankgod for that). Lets see what BA can do.

So what do we know about it:

Release Date: Early 2010
Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC
Mutiplayer: 4 player offline, 2 player online
Pre-Production: July 2008
No Publisher named at this point in time.

Read that hands on just before. That sounds so awesome. The fact that they have the gameplay down is the major appeal to me. And if i can play my mates, im set :D

Yeah, seems like features are lacking. I guess the focus was gameplay.

Although, that site has seen minimal updates since 2006, and my bet is the guy that previewed it was just a forum regular on BigFooty that sent a PM to the Big Ant CEO Ross (he regularly posts updates there). That is how most people seem to be getting in for previews. So I'll reserve my judgment until I see it in action this Thursday ;)

don't forget about possibly their best title, 'Pony Friends 2!'

I shouldn't be this cynical, I really hope they do well :P, I just dont see it if they show off a game called Pony Friends 2

I like 2007 apart from the errors it was a solid afl game imo lol.

afl 2005 was the worse game ive ever played though.

Id be amazed if this is heaps better then 2007 as you can tell their next afl game will be even better:)

ir gurus or whatever improved each version dramatically.
