Big Ant Studios is proud to announce that they are to develop Australian Rules Football for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Following up on the recent announcement that Big Ant Studios are expanding into Queensland, comes the exciting news that they are to produce a fully licensed AFL video game.

So Blue Ant are taking over from IR Gurus (thankgod for that). Lets see what BA can do.

So what do we know about it:

Release Date: Early 2010
Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC
Mutiplayer: 4 player offline, 2 player online
Pre-Production: July 2008
No Publisher named at this point in time.

They have already started on it.

I've heard about the new NRL game if you're interested in it.

There's group bonding sessions where 10 or so of you have sex with one woman.

There's molesting of a 12 year old.

There's a new mini game where you take a sh!t in the hallway of a hotel.

A new season mode where you punch your coach in the face.

These are just the announced features at the moment, i'll get back to you when more is announced

The AFL is just as bad as the NRL as far as the off field stuff goes. It's just 90% of the AFL's stories get swept under the rug, where the NRL's get blown out of proportion.

It won't be sold internationally, that's why it's a small unknown dev making it.

If it was going to be international then EA would've taken over but there's no market for it overseas.

Not Rugby League im not a NRL fan but Union is more popular internationally.

i hope not.. i have a feeling that their are gonna be a geelong based cover, because gary ablett brownlow and a geelong premiership side they will have either one of the two thier if not both...
it would be awesome if they made a brownlow count which you can go to and watch. and i want it to have highlights of goals marks and that after the game. cos some special things happened on afl premiership 2007 but only came up in a replay and thats it.. and i also hope they have an in depth drafts and trade week most needed we need the realism of the game involved and better commentry. i really want this to be worth it. ecspecially on the next gen. if its worth it their will definitly be a heap of sales on it for sure.. or if its terrible like the previous afls on ps2 well the idea of making multiple Afls on ps3 would seem unlikely thats why this AFL 10 needs to be a good one.
