Was just wondering what(if any) differences there ae between the 80gig Ps3 & the new Ps3 Slim.
I am just trying to work out which model to get.
Can you upgrade the HDD in the slim? Card readers SD etc??
Any help on this subject would be much appreciated

Its like that with iphones as well. Mines meant to be 32gb but on available memory its realy 29. something..

yeh i understand the format size, but it says i have 93gb left out of 110, there is only 3 game saves on it, no music or anything

firmware thats factoruy standard i reckon...itll be hard for me to fill 120 anyways so im not to touchy about it. If your worried you could upgrade it without voiding the warranty!

I saw that from Webmail. Gave me the shizzles..Ah well i got batman with mine which is a way more expencive game. Why are slims soo so cheap now! Im not complaining though just happy to join you all

On its own or with a games? Usually if they come with a game the game is worth upwards of 60 or more eg: Batman = $119 retail atm. So in reality 496 works out better..

Nah man 448 is an awesome price, it comes with no games but is $50 below RRP and that is a great deal. of course there is always the option of getting a package deal but all the mums and dads only look at the bottom line. Price, not the contents.

True i always have and always will think that we pay enough for the product so why make the fact that if you buy 5 games you could have enough to buy another console

Not all stuff up for purchase & download there costs money you can download free demo's & some DLC, PSN prepaid cards are releasing soon which is awesome & will make it easier to purchase stuff online.

Value is in the eye of the beholder isn't it?

Most Slims come wif games packaged and depends on what u want, the games can vary in price.

For example, Batman may cost $115 RRP but if u try to sell it 2nd hand and there's lots flooding the market, u might be lucky to sell it for $50. However, if u have a game that costs $80 but not many around 2nd hand, u might get $50 or more for it.

Personally, i got my Slim on release day from HN. They matched JB wif the HDMI cable but couldn't find one for me. So knocked $30 off the cable (which is what i was planning to sell it for anyway) and allowed me to get a brand new game (any game!) wif the bundle.
As they say, Right place at the right time isn't it?

I remember this happened another time and they just offered a slight discount or some extra.

They arent obliged to give it to you for what is an obvious mistake. There is no contract and they have ability to not accept when you 'offer' to buy it.

If I in any way wanted a ps3, I might do it, but I don't so not gonna waste my time.
