Was just wondering what(if any) differences there ae between the 80gig Ps3 & the new Ps3 Slim.
I am just trying to work out which model to get.
Can you upgrade the HDD in the slim? Card readers SD etc??
Any help on this subject would be much appreciated

I tried to sell my ps3 on ebay twice and these stupid yanks decided to buy it now this person wants my bank details

and claims to pay $700 AU for me to send it to Nigeria. Sounds like a scam if ya ask me

I got my FAT PS3 probaly..... April/May. If I have enough $$$ to be able to pay for it outright I will just use my own $$ if not I will sell my FAT PS3. Fingers Cross no problems arise from these slim ones.

How is it an "upgrade"??

It has no advantage over the current models (which were downgraded), if may use less power and more hdd (easily fixed) and less heat from the chip...but other than that...it functions exactly like the current models. (none have bc either)

It's a revised model to cut cost of manufacture. Materials used for the cosmetic areas are cheaper as well. It's more of a cheaper cost replacement than an actual "upgrade".

I have 5.1 Logitech Speakers, a PS3, 360 and a Wii. But not a HD compaitable tv

Might give the Slim a miss for a while and just concentrate on getting a TV next week

Well I will have enough for my tv next week so I could be enjoying HD in a week's time! or I could wait two weeks and have the next best sony product even though I allready have a Blu Ray player. Tomorrow morning im marching down to eb to get my deposit back
