What are your views on nudity in videogames?

Does nudity have a place in our games and will be be likely to see nudity in videogames in the future?

Does anyone believe that games should have an R rating available to them, whether its be concerning adult concepts, violence, language or nudity?

Dude, that was from a third party mod for Half-Life 2... that sort of thing wasn't in the actual game...

And well, developers should be able to put whatever they like into a game, but only if there is a clear and detailed warning on the packaging, and it can only be sold to someone over eighteen years of age. In other words, games need a similar rating system to movies. The government are just too ignorant to realize that gaming is an artform.

Make R-rated games the same as cigarettes, alcohol, porn, etc... just ask for ID. How do you think they prevent minors from buying R-rated movies or music with explicit language?

Changed - when i worked at EB when Playboy Mansion came out we had to check IDs just the same as selling an MA15+ game right???

I have only ever seen nudity and a sex in L.S.L for XBOX. What other games have it? I didnt think playboy did

Playboy Mansion has full frontal boob shots that leave nothing to the imagination - thats the only nudity i have seen that i remember.

It was developed and published by Konami. Originally released in Japan for MSX2 in 1988, it was remade for the PC-Engine in 1992 and ported to the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn in 1996.

So nudity first appeared on home consoles almost 20 years ago!!!!

I heard that Conan will involve nudity in it.

I think it will be ok for people over 18 (which is where they should draw the line) AND i think once it happens more and more people will become used to it much like on TV/movies.

i think it needs to with companies like Sony and Nintendo to allow R18+ games on their consoles, then governments like ours in Australia to give games a R18+ rating! they have to look at the figures and see that not just KIDDS are enjoying playing games.

i don't think nudity has a big part or need in games, maybe as games get more advanced to the point where they are movie like where you control the characters. maybe then nudity may have some part in games
