Sharing accounts on PS3 consoles

So I usually share my account on a few different peoples PS3s (family & friends) instead of buying an item a few times when we have a few PS3s in the house.

But today I found out you can only use content on 2 PS3 consoles now instead of the 5, It must have recently changed so now I have to purchase this multiple times.

Be aware if you do this in the future, has this caught anyone out lately?

I did not know this... I used to only share with one person though so I guess it wouldn't have really bothered me.

Anyone else not know about this?

I got caught out with this on PSP not PS3. I rang Sony and they wouldn't deactivate any of my old PSP's so I could use the new one on my PSN account. I found out you can deactivate old systems from their website. I clicked on deactivate all devices. My two PSP's then reactivated no probs. My PS3 just wouldn't link back to my PSN account. I ended up having to deleting my user account and start all over again. Lost all my saves and had to redownload all my DLC and updates :'(

Yeah this stuffed me up a bit as well
Now especially because there is 2 PS3's in the house that take up both of my slots, so I can't get content from others onto both of my consoles.

Wow didn't know this, it must have changed recently.... I tell everyone who sell their PS3s make sure you deactivate your account before you sell them. Especially now you only have two slots to fill. I got stuck when my old console YLOD on me. But lucky for me Sony, deactivated it for me.

Ye they changed it to 2 just prior to the release of the PS-Vita, As they didnt want people to game-share with the Vita as they would loose to much money, bla..bla..bla

Me and my friends have figured a way around this as we can still share games, but its abit of a fiddly process, So we both just setup 2nd & 3rd GS accounts.

Doesnt make much difference as i have 5 people who just share with me and have Accounts in multiple countries that i use to by games and we all swap/give each other PSN cards reguarly.

My US m8 just recently gave me a $100 US PSN card for nothing, and another gave me $20 :P

*We look after eachother..Thats how we roll* ;)

So all the people that did the account sharing to exploit the system in the past would have gotten screwed big time now.
I don't do any sharing because I simply can't be bothered but I can understand people getting annoyed that it's restricted to only 2 consoles. Lots of people have more than one console in the house since it doubles as a media center and what happens when your Ps3 craps its self and can't be fixed. I think 5 is a fair number of instals, it;s enough to keep people honest.

Yeah we've got 3 ps3s and it sucks.. I've sold a couple of older ones over time and obviously deleted all account info but didn't deactivate. Which means no matter what I do (full reset of all slots or continue how it is) I've only got 2 slots to use.

We've got 1 in the lounge, one in main bed and one in kids rumpus. Painful!!!!!

...I haven't been able to transfer game saves between 2 ps3s WITH the exact same profile name,keeps coming up with "Cannot load game save as Username is different" or some shit... when I go to play games such as Red dead redemption or others because they freezeglitch and such on my console...

...Whys that happening!?!...
