Great to hear! I have Spiderman 2 on Gamecube. Definitely one of my favourite games EVER!

Well if u read the original The Amazing Spiderman comics like me u already know what's going to happen in the movie but if u haven't u can wait untill the movie which is not too far away.
There's a big difference between the original spiderman movies and The Amazing Spiderman which some people get confuse because there's so many different Spiderman versions/universe so watching the new Spiderman movie will feel like being ur first Spiderman movie.

I've sunk an hour into this and I must say it has definitely shocked me!

I thought it was going to be your typical crappy movie game but boy, it does a lot right. The flow and combat of the game does a lot of justice (instead of your usual, X for a light attack and Y for a heavy attack) and you can go in and out of combat by web slinging.

The game spoils the movie, 100%. The spoilers start right away. The game is set AFTER the events of the movie, FYI.

Just thought I'd menionthat clearly for anyone wondering.

@chucky110 - Ah, that's interesting. So I know who I can count out of the next movie then(if they're doing more, which I assume they are).

@Beta - Likewise! Played it all the time! =D

Won't be able to play it for over a week now. Won't have access to my PS3. Sad times. :(

No don't have to, from what they showed in the trailer, shorts and what they talk about in interviews of the film makes it clear that it's more story being drawn out from the Ultimate universe of Spider-man. Not saying it's a bad thing, loved that series just as much as Amazing.

Played a bit at E3 and it was pretty cool. I just mucked around web-swinging though. No objectives :P

What's really cool is there are 10 high res original full comics you can find and read. They wanted to put more on there, but the resolution is so high, they could only put 10 on the disc with the game.

Pretty cool or marvel to allow that considering they have nothing to do with the game.

A few of the reviews have mentioned how badly the game ruins the story if you haven't seen it. That kind of sucks.

Spoilers aren't too bad. The start of the game tells/shows you who is alive and who is dead - unavoidable if you're going to set it after the events of the film. Other than that, it is pretty much standalone.

I bought it and have played it a bit. Not exactly the most rewarding game, like the graphics, the city is a bit plain but very cool to sling around in. Don't mind the fighting mechanics, bit repetitive but no worse than Arkham. My main complaint would be that they didn't use Garfield and Stone's characters, just some randoms, and Spidey is a lot more like Maguire's version than Garfield's.
