PSone Portable (Progress Thread)

Okay, well I plan on modding a psone so that it runs on batteries and has its own screen. So this thread is dedicated to the construction of it.

1. Bought a PSone , 14 games, 4 controllers, and some other accessories ( cgi.ebay.com.au/... )

2. Will be buying a 5inch LCD screen and an rc battery

Now I will be modding the psone's power cable so that it instead of it plugging in to the wall socket it will have tamiya plug at the end .

Now my question is will a Tamiya Plug, plug into this battery? (it will go where the charger is ment)

Battery: cgi.ebay.com.au/...

Tamiya Plug:
img.alibaba.com/...

Cool~ :D

same here! :D
Nice idea. Hope you get everything working.
This is not a put down in any way, but might I suggest seeing what electronics/modders forums there are out there. This is a bit specific for a ps forum.
I have a portable PSone, its called a PSPgo. I can connect it to my portable LCD, connect my DS3 controller and I can play PS1 or PSP games anywhere n if Im near a wifi I can access my PS3 via remoteplay.

Although your library would be limited to only several hundred games.
Woah, good luck with your project.
yes thats tru but the games i mostly play r in my PSPgo HDD n in memory sticks M2
Ohh, cool! :)
@LMA0
Don't be a douche. We all know what the PSP can do, but this is different. It's handmade, unique, and a lot of the fun will be in making it.

@Sum41
As for your question, it looks like those two plugs are compatible, but it's no biggie if they aren't. If they don't like each other you can just duck into Dick Smith's and grab a few connectors that fit together to replace the original ones. You'd be out of trouble for under $5.
What are you going to use for the case?
Ive got a chipped psone bagged in a cupboard somewhere & having never gotten more than 20mins from a top brand battery driving an r/c(car or heli), im very keen to see how ya go with this.
Get the Adobe Flash Player to see this video.
Thats bleeping awesome RSOP!
I wonder how long the power lasts, so much much longer than i expected then eh?
Oh I thought a portable like this one

benheck.com/...
why a PS1 how about a portable PS2?
Much harder to do. I've seen them done before though.

actually back a few years ago you could buy a small tv that hooked onto/into the ps2 from jbhifi.. no joke it turned into a portable system

www.ioffer.com/... like these but you could get the monitors that were chargeable so it was completely portable.. chunky but portable
