Is my PS3 Controller Screwed?

Just happened all of a sudden my left analog stick is stuck in the up position?
I have opened the controller and gave it all a clean and put it back together which is an absolut pain to do by the way!
But nup still stuck..

Anyone have any Suggestions?

Im sure if this topic was on the hottest babe or something stupid you all would be all over it!
But ask for some advice regarding something to do with a PS3?
Forget about it!
I'll look elsewhere!

A quick search on google indicates that a lot of people have experienced this issue with the ds3 controller mainly the left anoloag stick gets stuck in the up postion and unfortuanly it is ****ed and cant be fixed

My L2 button has gone loose just a bit but enough to change to Medical kit at random times when playing MAG.
I think i might have to open it up and change the spring tomorrow.

happens to mine i don't like DS3 controllers to heavy

when i get new ones i'll buy preowned sixaxis ones.

and i case you havn't realised, not as many people are on their comps layte at night. that may have been why there was a lack of responses for a while there

Yeah I think the DS3 controllers aren't made to the best quality. I bought my brother his ps3 with a extra controller - A DS3.

it started acting up and his R2 button is now way to sensitive that just a slight touch will activate whatever action it actives. I think they need to re-think the position of the button when the control pad is layed down on whatever surface. He mainly sticks to the sixaxis controller

Can't say I've had that problem with the left analog stick but its not surprising. I find it the least comfortable of the control pads of this generation. Needs to be a tad stiffer and perhaps shorter (if that makes sense)

Well i have my Sixaxis open in front of me and the L2 buttons spring has snapped... Now i have to bend a new one out of a pen spring. very fun...

The R2 button is soft on one of my Sixaxis'
Could that be the problem? A snapped spring?
And also the left stick on all 3 of my Sixaxis' don't have much resistance to it when you move it. It is very lose and one of it get's stuck sometimes so i bought a DS3. I think they are way more stable then the Sixaxis.

Could be the spring. Well it only took like an hour but i finally got it back together and its working which is good.

My L2 button wouldn't fully come out just around 80% which when i put the slightest amount of pressure on it would change to my equipment in MAG which is annoying when your shooting someone. The springs in the controllers are really flimsy. My L2 has more resistance then R2 now.
