Lapping/ PS3 temp sensor location

I'm considering lapping the IHS on the CELL and RSX in my PS3, as well as the heat sinks. The RSX heat sink looks tricky though prolly won't do that one.
My main question is about the were abouts of the temperature sensors that determain the fan speeds. IF its in the CELL, lapping could be worth while with a drop in temperature and fan speed. OR it could be in the motherboard, meaning no speed drop from the fan after lapping process.

thats a little overboard. just add a resistor to the fan wires. give it a false reading and make it run faster all time.

Yeah i thought of that too. But bad idea. I'd rather have it run cooler from lapping and have quiet fan from a cooler CPU than a hot PS3 system from attenuating the voltage feed to the fan.
Where is the temp sensor controlling the cooling system located.....
