GDC: Sony reveals motion controller as 'PlayStation Move'

The controller will be offered in a number of flavors to consumers. The Move controller itself will be offered as a standalone product for those that already own the the PlayStation Eye, which is require to use the controller. A "started kit" will also be made available, which will include the controller, the Eye, as well as a game; Sony is shooting for this kit to come in at under $100.

I still havent got around to buying any move games (excluding heavy rain which got updated with move). I just find it a bit annoying how the move control layout works in Heavy Rain when you have a sequence of buttons to press, since the move buttons are so small you have to do the sequences a few times.

Yea I'm the same, haven't bought any move games, just existing games that get updated. Heavy rain will take some time to get use to. :S

Yeah it took me a fair bit to get used to since I played the last chapter of the game (in my first playthrough) with move... There was no tutorials and I sat at scott shelby's desk for about 20minutes trying to figure out how to do the interaction

I've been playing with the PS Move for the majority of the afternoon..and I'm almost ashamed to admit that I'm kind of enjoying it.

I got Racket Sports with my PS3 bundle so that's all I really have to work with. Its, in essence, the same deal as the tennis game in Wii Sports except the controls feel more responsive and the difficulty is more challenging in the Advanced settings.
Although, I notice that I have to time my swings half a second early because there's a but of lag between my actual moves and the avatar's moves. Not sure if I'm the only one with this issue. Might calibrate the controller to see if that makes a difference.

Physically, the Move controller is very sexy. The big bulb on the top looked strange at first but the fancy colours that eminate from it make it very interesting.

I'm downloading the Heavy Rain: Move demo to see how that works. But so far, I'm enjoying my new purchase...

Now, whether or not I'll continue to use the peripheral in the future depends on the games on offer. I can TOTALLY see this becoming another case of Wiisteria where I enjoy the **** out of the games for a few weeks then completely ditch the system. Only time will tell, I guess.

Hustle Kings has been updated for Move, gave it a quick go, not bad, it works fine but will take some practice as its easier just to play with the DS3 but I already had the game so didnt cost me anything to have a go.

300,000 sold by Sept 25:
"Initially, it was reported Sony sold around 140,000 units in the first few days and according to VGChartz, there have now been over 300,000 Move hardware packages sold as of September 25. Bear in mind that it has yet to arrive in Japan - where it's set to launch on October 21 - and overall, we're talking about a few weeks span of time. They also report that Sports Champion has reached 250,000 in sales but that's a bit misleading, as it's bundled with some Move packages in North America. Hence, the 80% attachment rate shouldn't be all that surprising. That being said, it seems like the perfect game for early Move adopters, as it showcases the accuracy and responsiveness of Sony's new motion sensing system. Upcoming titles include The Fight and Sorcery; there are already several Move-dedicated games on store shelves, but more are to come."

just played The Shoot & Time Crisis demos, both games look good & work well with the Move controller, very accurate.

Think Ill buy The Shoot, Big W have it bundled with the Gun attachment.

Big W are doing The Shoot & Gun as bundle for $69, saves nearly $10 buying them seperate. Rang EB, they said they dont bundle it but would maybe could match but just grabbed it from Big W anyway.

I'm still fairly hesitant to buy Move.

All of my favourite Wii games, Metroid, Mario, Zelda etc, all hardly use the motion sensing. Besides the IR pointer to shoot in Metroid, they all could have been done as well without the motion control.

Time Crisis Razing Storm Review

Since release the only game been worth playing is Sports Champions.

Heavy Rain plays better with a controller.

Time Crisis (the demo at least) is laughably bad.

The Shoot is extremely average.

Resident Evil 5 is better with a pad.

Two Move controllers and an eye camera later and im unsure if i should of purchased them.
