So we dont have a clutter of single threads about problems that you have with your ps3 i thought this thread would make it easier for people who have ps3 related issues

And so your problems don't get unasnwered i will check this thread regurly and post your questions below.

its basically an account that lets you play online with other peeps.
Its sorta like your online 'ID' or who you are recognized by.
And then it colects info about you like trophies and friends and stuff

Im sure someone else can give you a better description, im shocking

No worries dude, Yup! PSN = Playstation Network, so yeah, an online account for your PS3. Have you got one of them going on ?

Not yet coz i got dial up atm...the wireless aint working

Well, i would suggest fixing the dial up before you try to make a PSN account, it will be a lot more stable and you wont have to worry to much about it.
IM not sure how it wil effect the trophies as i have only limited knowledge of trophies but maybe ICU can help you out on that bit

Ok, you won't need an internet connection for what about to tell you to try. Create a new user on your console, (far left on the menu) then Load up the game, get a trophie, see what Language the trophie list comes up as under that new user...

It would have to be a new game wouldn't it as older games had trophies added as an afterthought via a patch

Apparently It's only going on with WAW from what I can gather, What he needs to do is, see what happens starting from scratch under a new user, so we can work out If It's reset after he has changed the Language on the console.

That should tell us Game or console

I sent my PS3 off 3 weeks ago for repairs because i got the dreaded ylod. Got it back on Monday and now it has another problem. Whenever i turn the console on it doesnt boot up properly and no video and audio comes up and the controller doesnt sync up even witht he usb. Rare occasion the ps3 does come on and works fine, but sometimes during loading screens the picture goes piexelated all over and freezes the video but the audio keeps going. So when i reset i have to go through the long process of turning on and off until the console comes back on properly. Anyone have any idead whatsoever?

All I can say is send it back mate and thay will have to fix it again. What I have seen is that only a low number of people get there units back with it still having problems good luck with it mate, I know how you feel I had to send mine away and it took 5 weeks to get back. But thank god it did not come back to me with any problems.

Yeah i called sony up and they said reapir again. I asked to speak with the manager and Im getting a refurbished 60gb that someone traded for 80gb instead of repairs, so that shud take only up to a week.

Got it backed up on HDD or on the cloud server? spewing if you didn't, I backed up my console yesterday because it was long overdue wasn't going to lose it all again.

please help.

my ps3 just all the sudden started skipping so bad . it cant be the games cause its every game that i own is skipping?

if im right and it needs to be cleaned what would be the best way to clean it and should i open it up. by the way its the 160gb
