The ps2 became the "kiddy" machine with the release of the ps3.
but lately the ps3, has been trying to rival the wii. rather than focusing on great content, they have decided to rip out other OS, release the "move " and are travelling down the ps2 path, of games for the 5-15 generation.
one look at the Aus ps store, compared to the US ps store proves this.
Sony need to step up now. or the 360 is gonna run away with the older gamers business. release custom avatars, or if not, imitate the 360's make your own dude avatar. be innovative, don't try and rival the the wii.
There are so many people who love the ps3, and are loyal to it even if it is only for the controller layout. the mafia 2demo for me was a kick in the gut. dropping out graphics on a machine that can surely handle it.
The ps2, with it's lifespan just got better and better. the ps3, is starting to go backwards. (ps plus represents that - $60 a year, for kiddy content)

It leaves it's package files on the ps3. "back up manager"
as long as that is there..... sony could theoretical know it is there.

Please re-read my post about the ps2. I said, it became a kiddy machine, when the ps3 was released. meaning most of the games that kids play were made for the ps2.

I am aware that this USB does stop force updates so it will continue to work. however..... New games, will require updated firmware before they will run. If you don't update, you won't be able to play the game. (and updating may disable this device, so there goes $160)

I don't know how this applies to the ps3, as it is a mod chip, BUT it is not really connected.....
