Hi guys, just found these, i remember seeing something about them in this years E3. Full surround 7.1 headphones with mic :)

they retail for $150 US, not bad with our current exchange rate. i also read that JB will be stocking these things soon too.

has anyone had any experiences with them?

I personally have never used DPX21's. Though have heard they're truly brilliant. They look the bomb. I'd be interested in them just for audio playback. If JB get them in stock I may do a rental return period on these suckers.

Shame they only have analog inputs. Why do so few companies make headphones with optical :(
I stlll think the Tritton AX Pros are better, and one of only a handful of true 7.1 headphones around. These are virtual surround sound at best; just a small step up from stereo in my opinion.

They will be getting some in NOV I think. Also its funny how these headsets have been out for like couple of years now and they are only making there way to retail shops now :P

True, Ive looked into them. But really which games uses 7.1? Also I came to the conclusion when searching for a good headset is when Im wearing a head its usually due to people sleeping or I just want to wear headphone and I dont really care much for the sound. If you dont have a 5.1/7.1 system then its prob a good replacement for that but if you allready have a sytem which does 5.1/7.1 why where headphone.

Yea Im thinking of getting the X41 but import them because retail in the US is like $150 and at the currency right now thats cheap as.

Anyways own a pair of Astros, heard the the top of the line. Cables look like a bitch though

My friend owns the DSS and uses it with a pair of sennheiser headphones. He said their really good and helps you know where the enemy is or where they are coming from in CoD.

RSOP when you say left and right audio jack, what do you mean? do you mean one for mic the other for sound into a usb sound card? Or left and right audio only.

Please elaborate, I don't understand. Explaining further would an adapter such as something like this... cgi.ebay.com.au/... suffice the headphones for say an mp3 player?

Thanks Bloard, that must explain the little funky box coming with the unit working as the sound card for PS3 & XBOX etc.... I only want to use these for PS3 / PC.

I think youd have USB into PS3 then Your Audio into your tv and your ps3 audio into your tv and that should do it... never used them though so im not guaranteeing it works [Shifty] [Shifty]

I found the Turtle Beach Ear Force DSS Surround Sound Processor sepereate on ebay cgi.ebay.com.au/... Work with any stereo headset. So we're on the right track bloard. the sound processer works as the middle man. I already have decent headphones, actually a few pairs. I might op the Processor on it's own.

I wonder if EB-JB will stock those separately, =) I don't like buying from US, their prices are outrageous. :*O

With that Processor they will be. ;) Sony make some decent headphones. Mainly my concern now is the quality of the actual TB cans. They may not compete with my DJ headphones which are worth $299 alone. =D
