I didn't go or watch a game after that 184-point loss at Mordor. I didn't even realise we played Port in the last round until you mentioned it :P It was the "Let us win so that we don't finish last" game.

The Dees have been involved in a few of those games during Dean Baileys reign, unluckily that was a 'let us lose so we can finish bottom & mistakenly pick Jack Watts' game.

I reckon Dustin Martin or Nic Natinui would've been a great fit at Melbourne, they shouldn't have tried so hard to finish bottom when their reward wasn't that great.

I can only hope Dean Bailey has the same effect at his new club, Dee supporters must hate his guts :P
I don't hate him because I like our side. But holy shit, you have to take control of your team. He had no control whatsoever. He put the team together, but how do you lose by that much in this day and age?
Yeah true I rate a fair percentage of Melbourne's young list more so now you have a pseudo key forward in Clark, he should be that target you need to clunk marks up forward.

Just think they're missing a little something I know it's in hindsight but I thought at the time if they had taken Trengove at #1 pick & a key forward like Butcher at pick #2 (slid all the way to #8 after being touted as a #1 pick) your team would've been set.

I guess that's moreso Scully the sellouts fault really, is that bloke even worth the money he's on? apart from the odd decent game I reckon Martin was by far the best midfielder of that draft with Trengove just behind him.

I like Trengove I think he'll be a very good captain.
Martin was highly sought after by the Swans in that draft. They offered Richmond picks 6 and 13 for their pick 4 so the Swans could take Martin, they of course knocked it back.

I think it was pick 3 but I remember hearing that, he is a Sydney boy as well yeah?

Definitely going to be one of the gun midfielders in the comp if Richmond can keep him out of trouble off field, looks abit of a party boy to me.

GWS offered him the Scully multi-million doallar deal first & you can see why when you see his presence onfield, luckily for them Richmond were able to keep him even though he's now their highest paid player by a fair margin.

Can't wait until the NAB cups over & we get into the season proper, too many serious injuries happening & it's only first week of NAB cup.

I think his Dad lives somewhere in NSW.

Scared me reading this but luckily it wasn't much worse being a knee injury.

I've read since that it may not be as bad as they first thought.
I have got the perfect replacement for Grimes & or Lake if he doesn't perform.

Hint he also plays for bulldogs. Played great in nab cup and if he plays decent next game he is a walk into my team. free's up over 100k as well to upgrade riewoldt if he plays crap.

thinking get rid of riewoldt and have 150k to get a premium ruck.

Need 1 and giles i have a feeling.

Then will have pretty good team to start off. 2 Questionable premiums though lol Zaharakis & Martin.

If Lake doesn't look good i am ****ed.
Christian Howard?

I always have two premium rucks and two low priced ones who will play.
Lol @ Campbell Brown trying to line up Joel Selwood who avoided the contact & ended up taking out his own teammate & your cousin Tano :P

Your cuz is tough though he was straight back up & involved in the play, good size for a little fella.
That was pretty funny, if Brown was on target he could have left Selwood seeing stars.

How good was the bump on Mitch Brown.
@Kangle4 do you know if the Swans are even on the radio tonight?
What's the chances of GWS winning a grand final in 5 years?

Highly unlikely IMO they will need at least a good three years to find their feet. I'd be thinking between 5 and 10 years.

I see, well there's not much GWS fans in western sydney. I think GWS is just trying to promote more pacific islanders to play aussie rules because they are natural athletic skills.

I think Gold Coasts chances would be alright odds if they can keep Swallow from joining his brother who's captain at North, which to the Roos credit they're trying to lure him as soon as the end of this year.

Jaeger O'Meara looks like he has the potential of a young Judd ie a future top 4 player in the comp, i'm still surprised GWS gave him up so cheaply to one of their direct rivals & I find it staggering they won't let him play this year.

He is very smart & skilled from what i have seen. Has that breakaway speed like a young judd as well.

He has shown glimpses already of what he will be. Gun midfielder.
The question is why did GWS trade him knowing they could've got him pick #1 this year? It's ridiculous they've given the Suns a massive leg up he was worth way more than pick #4 & a mid first rounder.

I would've kept all 4 mini draft picks to trade off this year but I guess they decided they would've rather picked up the picks #4, #10 & whatever else they got.

I find it funny out of all the recruits they nabbed in the top #4-10 they didn't manage to get Wingard who is the exact type of player Sheedy & Choco rate enormously or get the best ruckman in Billy Longer.

Gotta admit Silvagnis recruiting surprised me when it came to passing those two up to us & the Lions IMO they made mistakes on all 3 decisions including trading O'Meara.

I know it's on local radio in Sydney but not sure about Melbourne, I would doubt it.

Says you can follow it on the AFL site and that it has audio but not sure if that is correct.
Wingard was rated top 2 player and was rated better then cognillo or whatever his name was for ages.

So far Wingard has shown a hell of a lot more
