Fair point. But still the comparison to other sports remains. I don't see kids from Chicago moving to the Bulls to be the next Michael Jordan, and I don't see any soccer player heading home mid-career because they're homesick.

They're professionals we should expect them to follow the money and the trophies.

I suppose one thing we should take into account is that they do not get to play for their country... their allegiance might lie with the team they supported as a child, and there is nothing like the support of the hometown crowd on a homegrown talent (not that we get genuine homegrounds in Melbourne now with everyone playing home games at the G). blargh ranting.

Gibbs aint going anywhere. Gibbs would not go to Port anyway and as if carlton are giving him up.

Port would have to give up way more than Boak.

Yes he wanted to go home last time, i guess we will see if its about the footy or about the money wont we. It always seems the Adelaide clubs are fighting to keep there players. Dont really hear much of the melb radio due to i am in Adelaide so whats it like for others clubs with rumours and signings?

Few dodgy decisions from the umps. Namely the contrast between Goodes feigning a handball and being called to play on and busted, then, Enright feigning a kick and taking a step and they give a 50 against Reid when he didn't even cross the mark. Wut.

League wins in the bye rounds is not really all that respective of a teams quality, because you can be so easily decimated by donuts.
