APPLE KEYNOTE - JUNE 7th 2010

Hey guys, Now I know there are some Apple fans here so I've set up a spot for discussing things that have been revealed and mentioned at the June 7th Apple Keynote.

As we all know and are expecting the announcement of the new iPhone will be made during the event as most likely the opening and headlining feature.

This is your place to have your say on the new developments, changes, updates & new editions to the Apple family.

UPDATES
- PDF reader available for ios4 (ios4 is the new name for the operating system used on iphones, ipads & ipods) via iBooks.
- Highlight and note section made for iBooks.
- Reporting on Market share etc. (basically telling companies why they should invest into making app's etc for the ios4 range)
- Announcements from app creators - Zynga (Farmville), Netfix, Activision. (Guitar Hero)
- iAds talked about in more depth. (Basically a way of tempting some app creators into making free & low cost apps)
- The major news was as we all expected - The iPhone 4.

flash is good but i can see why apple left it..
the newest demos of what html 5 can do is amazing...like animations that dont take nearly as much processing power and memory (also hardware accelerated), interactive stuff thats (right now) almost as good as flash...and yet, since its using pure html coding, the elements can be copied and pasted (ie. a picture/object in an 'animation' is actually just a JPEG file that you can right-click on and save, for example...texts that are in the animation are actual texts, so its searchable in google...
im all for moving to html 5...
plus its an open standard, so when they come up with something new, you dont have to wait for adobe to put their act together..

Also agree with Chuz too - Flash is not crap - It's done it's job for quite some time now... It's a shame that Apple doesn't use it in a sense but knowing the reasons why - I can understand it... When HTML 5 finally comes and the Telco’s are able to provide better services that will enable FaceTime (Video Chat) to work as seamlessly as the phone is capable of I will be totally happy. But I can’t really be angry at Apple for any of that, so bring on the iPhone 4!!!

Ummmmm... Android 2.2 is out now and that is easily the best platform for phones. Flash 10.1 support in a phone

android = the best geek phone OS
iphone = the best consumer smartphone OS

best way i can put it.
where i am right now, im at the point where im over tweaking my tech stuff. i just want things to work as they are without having to worry hassling/meddling...so i like iphone.
plus most of the 'killer' features of android are gimmicks IMO...install apps, send gmaps directions over to the phone via push notifications...yeh its 'cool?' and something the iphone doesnt have..but how does that add value?just clutter..more trouble than its worth..

Bad News - Delay - Didn't we all expect this to happen - AGAIN!

The iPhone 4 order disaster continues, now with a new delay after AT&T suspended all sales for the device. The iPhone arrival was delayed for many pre-orders. Now there’s a new date at Apple’s website: July 14th.

Thats just for Group 1 - Australia is a part of Group 2 - meaning where looking more like August now till we get our hands on them.

with 3g, we just dont get wallpapers and multitasking (Goddamn). But the rest we do get so yay for that! There are around 100 new things so thats pretty rad. Rad like a K-man.
