I've plateued again, the owner of my gym is telling me have 10 meals a day! if I want to get bigger.

They have got the posters plastered all over the walls at my gym. When i get back i'll let you know.
Im not familiar with Melbourne.

But its on at the Dallas Brooks centre.

Kinda... it's 24 hours so i train there when i finish work late. It's not my gym but im there most of the time lol. My membership runs out soon so i'll probably just sign up there.
Hey guys- Im looking to buy my fiance a home gym. We went to workout world and Amart all sports today and they didnt have much? Just wondering if any of you know of any other stores? Im looking to pay around $1000 for a reasonable set up- weight bars- etc? Any help would be fantastic:)

Some stuff you should buy him to get him started are; a bench that can go all the way up (for incline and shoulders), cables, seated row, and a lat pull down. e-z curl bar and some weights and a few dumbells prob ranging from 10kg to 30kg for now. Personally i wouldn't bother getting him a home gym as it's not enough, you will just have the bare minimums to get by. Take that $1,000 to a gym and sign him up for 2 years instead

I just started working out agen, well about 4 weeks been going now. Had a break for atleast 6 months but loving it again and nothing like the gains you get in the first few months.

We got 4 of us and have two benches and two exercises going at once which is good and its good for motovation to see what everyone else is lifting and trying to do the same/lift more.

Eating heaps to try and bulk put on a few kgs in the last 4 weeks and no extra fat i can see so pretty happy with that.

Been using protein+carbs and creatine which has been good, usta use protein before but the creatine seems to help myself. I have a busy life so the protein helps alot quicker then making a meal when busy, still make sure i get atleast 6 real meals a day. Plus taking casein protein with milk and yoghurt in a smoothie before bed has seemed beneficial, doesnt feel great in the gut but seems to have been working least my body gets protein for the time im asleep.
You should post up some new pics topher im intersted to see how much bigger you've gotten and what steroids really do.. Be interesting to see.

Im gonna go buy dumbells on thursday. My mates got a home gym but there crap. What kgs weights would you recommend. And whats the best protein to bulk with?
What are you going to do the dumbells for? Have you jsut started gym? You need a whey isolate post workout with a carbohydrate powder and dextrose. I use horley's whey isolate ice and redbak carb up

Nah been doing it on and off for 6 months or so. Just looking for something to do at home. ie bit off free weights. What would you recommend?

come on... if your 20kgs heavier then the last ones why dont u post up now? im not being a smartass btw im really intreged to see how much bigger the juice has made you.

Shoulders? Arms? Chest? Your probably better off just getting a barbell and a few 5 10 and 20kg plates

If your lucky i might send a couple of pics later, but i'm not publicly posting pics til im finished it's like updating a car.. some people like to show before, during and after pics of a re-spray. Some jsut like to show the before and after. I'm a before and after guy.

Ok man thats fair enough. I would never touch the juice personaly but just curious of what it does in a certain time frame compared to someone who doesnt take it. Obviously your gonna be bigger and stronger then someone doing the same thing and just on protein but how much is what im curios about.

Do you still get that bit of fat that would normally come with bulking if its done properly or does the steriods elimante that since your muscles building quicker would need more food/calories?

If you not gunna do it seriously man and just doing it for something to do and off and on your probably better off to save the money on protein and just eat better/ foods with higher protein counts etc. but at the same time if your gunna do it at home but do it seriously to try and put on some muscle then its deffenly worth it.
Go for a bulking protein powder with protein+carbs if you wanna bulk up that is and creatines also usefull for a small investment.

Also if you wanna do it serious, casine protein before bed mixed with milk and a few table spoons of yoghurt is good for a steady release of protein during the nite and good for bulking just make sure u dont get a yoghurt thats really sugary like some are.

Its all about the diet mate, protein shakes are a supplement and thats all they should be used for. They are very useful but its the food that matters the most. When you have protein+carb shakes mixed with the right food through-out the day thats what makes muscle growth.
I really need to get big by July next year. I'm hitting the gym daily at 7:30am, mainly focusing on my upper body and stomach area, probably 30-40 minutes work-outs, as well as cardo equivalent to 400 calories per day (jogging around 3.5km - I have bone spurs in my ankle so can't run anymore than that). Also taking whey protein immediately after training. I've noticed a change in my arms and upper chest area - the chest not so much at first glance, but I can notice the difference when I feel around the area as it's substantially more solid and filled in. I'm naturally a solid guy and used to be built when I was 18 and was playing football, but stacked on the weight and it all turned to fat. I lost around 10 kgs but I'm still working to change that fat to muscle. I used to have very large pec muscles, but they turned to fat. I'm focusing on that area to get them toned and looking a bit better. I've noticed a slight difference over the past 4 weeks, but I understand that it will take a while with that area. Hopefully within the next 8 months I can start getting some real shape and just go hard for the final 10 months or so.
@ victorian: Get an E-Z curl for your biceps, ALOT less strain on tendons in your forearms and wrists. Read above few posts for what brands i use.

@ redrex: It depends, it's not a magical potion that will make you massive as is the common misconception. You need to eat alot more, train harder and train right to even get some of the size gains you want. Lots of people take steroids and don't even grow much because they have no idea what they are doing. You get a little bit of fat but it isn't as much as when your bulking naturally because it helps burn fat at the same time. You also need to maintain a strict diet afterwards and a good PCT (post cycle therapy) or you pretty much lose all that you have gained during your cycle

OH, a tip for the noobs! Don't EVER sacrifice more weight for form. You have to leave your ego at the door when you enter a gym because if you can't lift the weight you will be doing it wrong so you can, then you will only be cheating yourself so what's the point? You won't gain anywhere near as much size as if you had less weight on and doing it properly. Once your technique is right try add more weight, once you feel like you are getting sloppy it's probably a tad too heavy for you

If you wanna get real big man id cut out the cardio to begin with even a small bit here and there wont hurt but if you wanna get big doing less is better or your just burning calories your body needs to get big. If you start to get a bit of fat towards the last few months before july next year u can cut and then u will look heaps ripped. You can do cardio but then you have to eat more and if you really wanna grow your betta off doing a small ammount if u wanna keep a bit of fitness but not 2 much. If your burning off 400 calories thats 400 more calories u gotta eat ontop of what you should be anyway so u see its kinda pointless, a bit is good for keeping that fitness there but i wouldnt be trying to burn off 400 calories each time u do cardio if i was u and u wanna get bigger fast.

And dont worry about the chest it takes a bit longer to get size coz of how much area u have to fill. If you feel your chest muscles there pretty wide so it does take a bit longer to get them looking bigger coz theres more of them to grow.
