Gym Thread

hey guys, this is a thread for all the people here at myps3 that work out. post up pics of your mucscles or anything!
Thats funny yet disturbing lol Started my new job so my training is taking a new direction, the main focus is getting in the routine on eating clean and watching what i eat ! It is tough lol
I know I've said it a few times but I can not stand it when idiots drop weights. You look like an idiot when you do it, it's bloody dangerous, and worst of all it's massively disruptive. Not only is loud thud disruptive the vibration that it does just shakes right through the benches in the area. had these two bogan near heads dropping their weights after each set even though they were spotting each other, what's the point of having someone there spotting you if you still drop the weights. One set the bigger bogan actually chucked his weights in front of him, so of someone walked past then they would have gotten hurt.
To top things off there's a sign right in front of them saying "do not drop your weights" but I never see any staff do anything about it. Maybe they should make a new sign in crayon with lots of colourful pictures so these mentally challenged idiots get the hint.

Ok i'm done...

Haha, yeah I hate that too Guyver. I know people like to lift heavy, but surely you know your limit? Obviously not....

Another thing that gets on my nerves is people who go there with their mates, usually in a group of 2-4. They'll hog certain equipment for ages on end. One person will do a set, then they'll rotate until each has done their set, then they'll stand around and talk, laugh and perve for 10 or so minutes, not even using it [Rage]

Usually the jocks or lanky kids are guilty of this....

Yeah I don't see the point in training with more than one person, y time you get around to your set you've had this massive break because you've been waiting so long. As you'd expect the bigger the crowd is the louder they get and the harder they try.
Either train by yourself or with a partner, if you end up turning up at the same time as a bunch of mates then pair off and get the hell out of everyone else way.
People bouncing the bar when deadlifting, this is not a deadlift
People using the seated rower, and going so quick that I'm worried they're going to burn the chain right through.
2 nobs yesterday had 2 benches and 2 machines, i went for the 3rd and last bench....ahhh we were going to use that!!!!!!
i said you have half the gym already
so i started using it...then they took the whole top row of dumbbells , one of which i was using
some people just have no idea

and what is it with people using the treadmill right next to me
there is 12 treadmills, i am the only one using and in the middle
then a guy comes on my left and starts jogging, 1 min later someone on my right starts jogging
so i said to my self, upped my speed faster than both of them and didn't stop until both had left...lol
nearly killed me but felt good...

Oh yeah I see that a lot as well, if it wasn't so disruptive I'd say let them enjoy bouncing weights like an idiot.

As you can tell from a lot comments in this thread there's a certain demographic that likes to go to the gym, these idiots need to piss off to the roid head gyms and leave the regular gyms to people who have manners and respect for the establishment and the people around them.
I noticed that a few more signs went up telling the morons to put their weights away and to stop dropping them. I look down and there's still weights everywhere as usual.
Haha, roid head gyms :P

There are also the 'grunters'. No joke, there's this guy at my gym, who always pushes himself hard and lifts heavy, doing ridiculous reps (like 30-40). When he gets to rep 15-20 he starts breathing heavy. By rep 25-30, he grunts so loud every lift, it echoes throughout the gym. He's not even massive either. I seriously don't know why he bothers....
Found this. Its pretty darn accurate....

lol there's always a naked old dude in the changing room that's a little to confident with his body. This is why I change before I go to avoid that creepy area of the gym. Don't know how people can shower in there as well. I could never do that, guess if you have no choice...

Did a semi decent leg session with my mate today and it has been a while since I've trained legs properly so I'm going to be feeling this one tomorrow and the next day.
OMG
the naked old guy in the changing room
i shit you not, about 6 months ago, this guy must be 80 if he not then he is 90
i come out of the shower cubicle, undies on and towel around waist
he tries to start a conversation, then puts one leg up on the seat and dries his legs one at a time, NAKED
i actually said
put some pants on and then we can chat, and i laughed out loud
he was cool and got the joke, put his pants on and i think he felt embarrassed
I don't see anything wrong with being naked in a change room. Go and take an onsen in Japan and everyone is nude, change rooms at gyms in North America, everyone is nude. I think this is an Australian ideology as my friends never got the hang of the Japanese onsen. Just don't look, it's not that hard to keep your eyes straight ahead.
Nothing wrong with naked in a change room, but starting a conversation with some one while naked makes it a personals focused nude situation and that's very different. At that pout y become personally aware of the dudes junk and his focused attention on you.
HAd an awesome moment the other morning!! HAd my first day in a new job which requires me to suit up ! Now I wore this suit 3 ish weeks ago and it was fitting comfortably, until Monday morning rolls round and I get dressed and the GF starts laughing, apparently over the last 3ish weeks My back and Chest and arms have decided to out grow my clothing to the extent that it was now skin tight. First real time I have actually noticed any real gains !! Feels good bro oh and it was awesome walking around the office in skin tight business attire bahaha

That's a lot of different parts in one day [MOG]

The weather has been pretty crap these past few days, this works in out favour because a lot of people wont go to the gym when it's like this. Especially the show offs that can only train in singlets [Shifty]
