Weird idea for a thread. But i woke up and thought about what i want for xmas/birthday. And started thinking about ideas for gaming stuff in my room. Anyways just list or draw (like a floor plan) and post it here :)

This took a while.

- MSI GT780DX laptop x2
- BenQ GL2440HM 24" x2
- Bed
- Chairs x2
- Lounge
- Sony - KDL60EX720 - 60" EX720 Series BRAVIA 3D TV
- Hauppauge HD PVR
- Xbox 360
- LG 32LV3730 32 Inch Full HD LED TV
- MacBook Pro 17-inch

Pretty unrealistic haha.
No you might steal my blueprints.... [Shifty]

Well, a few obvious things for a gaming room. Tv, Console or Computer (depending on your choice), A good gaming chair, sound system, fridge (For the snacks for all nighters) that's about all I can think of at the moment.
Why do u need 3 laptops?? -_-
And 2 additional PC Monitors?? @_@
And 2 TVS?? [Shifty]

You might think saying it's "pretty unrealistic" makes sense to have all these extra things you don't need, but it doesn't. So [Facepalm] you

Well i wouldnt say its unrealistic just more expensive/unnecessary :S

For example: instead of 3 Laptops you could have 1 laptop and 1 PC connected to the 2 Monitors, Obviously the laptop you can carry around with you where ever you go if yo need to do study/interwebs or gaming when ur not at home.

And having a PC with two screens is very usefull as u can multi-task :P you could connect a TV card to ur PC so you can do what ever on one screen and watch TV on the other instead of acutally having 2 TV's, But i guess you would still have the one TV for actually watching TV but also dedicated to console gamming, But the rest of the setup looks fine ;)
I could find a use for all that stuff. [MOG]

My ultimate set-up requires only one more thing: A bar fridge next to the lounge.
Think I'll leave my room pretty plain. I actually have plans for a dream office where it'll just have more than a computer. :P

If you have a shitload of money i dont think you care if its needed.
A gaming room with a bed in it is a bedroom.

The whole point of a gaming room being a "gaming" room is that its main purpose is for gaming.

If where you play games is your bedroom, then it isnt a gaming room its a bedroom.

In my gaming room i have the following:
couch
lcd tv
ps3
snes
xbox (not 360)
glass display cabinet with my g1 transformers and gaming collectibles
various framed posters
2 pc's 3 monitors, what I currently have

Wtf is the point of bringing definitions in here. If its a room where u game in its still a gaming room, regardless of whether you also sleep in it or not.

Vile, why don't you have your 360 with the big TV?
I like this thread, good idea OP.

As wank as this sounds I think I have my ultimate gaming rooms already. Sure it doesn't have best tech and is a few upgrades away from being "ultimate" but right now I pretty happy with it all.
I can post some pics later if you haven't already seen them (currently at work so I'll have to do it later).
My lounge room has my gaming/work PC in one corner, my flat screen TV which has my current gen systems hooked up to it. It needs a slightly bigger TV since I've move the couch back away from the TV a bit to make room for the motion sensing games that my family likes to play when they come over. It also needs better speakers for the surround setup, the current collection of speakers is a mongroul setup but it works however the speakers are really holding the amp back, then there's the speaker locations that need top be sorted.
I also have a dedicated room for all my retro gaming systems, it has a couple of old school CRT TVs that suit the old systems well but I'd like to get a cheap flat screen in there for the later consoles like the Dreamcast, GameCube etc. If I ever upgrade the TV in the lounge room I'll but the lunge room TV in the bed room and take the LCD from the bedroom and put that into the Retro room.
My main limiting factor with these rooms are the house its self, I'm renting so I can't mount speakers and screens how I'd like too :(

- There is a bed in the room. That makes it a bedroom.
- What is the point in having more stuff than you need? Having 3 laptops, 2 of them identical, is useless.
- lounge too close to tv.
- Why is your PVR and your Xbox at your desk, and not your main tv?
Maybe he wants to use the multiple laptops for a LAN in his room for when guests come over.
