My mobile phone is comming off its contract at the end of this month.
I'm kind of thinking of hanging out to see what apple do with the next iPhone, not sure about android yet, will look more into that too! I kind of like the galaxy s3 or the note,but not rushing into things...
With new mobile phones being relieved every 12 months or less, why are we still being forced for the 24 month contracts?
Are pre-praid worthy these days?

Thoughts?

Because you need to pay off the phone, it won't be paid off in 12 months. You can go on 12 month contracts but there are handset fees of $40+ a month.

Got the galaxy s3 and it is a awesome phone, takes great pics and when we have it on wifi it loads quicker then my windows 7 pc.
Best phone i have ever had very simply to use. I am on the $60 optus. $650 of phone calls, free to optus mobiles unlimited texs and 3 gig of data which is stacks for me.

I'll be getting an S3 when telstra decide to release the LTE model. As for changing phones, I have had this iphone for almost 2 years now and it is isn't really outdated. Im in no rush to change, just a bit over apple.

Im thinking of paying off my S2 just so I can get an S3, I am still in contract but you can still pay off the phone itself and re-contract on a higher plan with new phone.

I'm over the iPhone

Only problem is that you are with optus, no matter how good the phone is you are restricted by the shitness of optus

Such a waste. My brother got one, but his coming from a iphone upgrade. Apart from the S3 being faster, and having a better battery life. I don't see it worth it. It's like an Iphone 3 to a 3GS

A 12 month contract would make the monthly repayments too expensive. For me, getting a new phone every two years is fine. I don't need a new phone that often.

If it works for you... My experience with optus wasn't pleasant. Sure it was a bit cheaper(not much), but the service was rubbish. I often had no reception at home. The further away from the city the worse it gets. Telstra isn't even as bad as some people like to make out.

I am on prepaid at the moment, and want to sign up for a plan for this very reason. I always forget to recharge until I try to make a call :/ Also if I forget to buy a data pack my credit disappears very quickly.

explain??? galaxy 3 is better in every way. can't seen iphone 5 being = to the galaxy either. iphone 4 is a piece of shit.

Whats there to explain? quad-core, & battery life is the selling point in my opinion. You don't want the S3 any bigger :*O

Had mine a week now. Not going back to iphone Mobile phone contracts

Only disappointment was the lack of 4G - but like the bloke told be in the phone shop, you wont get a quad core 4g phone. :'(

YEah thats what I thought after a while. Thats why I went S3 over One XL. Although the battery still needs charging early into the second day. I need to turn some notifications of, so the LED does blink all the time.

Also plans at the moment are friggin shocking. So I bought my phone out right for $740. Sold my iphone for $500. Now I will just continue on with my old $39 per month plan. With $400 of calls and text and 1gig data. :P

Yeah it wont have a quadcore in it though, only Snapdragon.
So it will lose precessor speed to gain internet speed.

Yeah sad. But the guys who own snapdragon own 4g, so if you want 4g in your phone you have to use snapdragon or other processors owned by the company

Well for now anyway until someone pays them alot of money ... isnt that how it works.
