I'm very surprised we don't already have one of these threads floating around because I know I'm not the only one that would be into Photography.

Even though the 50mm lens is a really good walk around lens for it's price, but I personally don't like the 50mm on a cropped frame cam. I have the 60D as well, and I find the 50mm to have lesser depth of field for my shots. However, they are an awesome lens to do portraits and uses the less depth of field to your advantage to give a soft background.

35mm lens on a cropped frame...now that's what I really like :)
