First game I ever remember using my own money to buy was probably Mech Warrior 2. How I loved the mid-90s and when PC games came in huge cardboard packaging with a CD case inside along with a massive manual. Since the PS2 things just haven't been as fancy on game packaging.

MechWarrior 2 still proudly sits in view on my games shelf.

First technical 2012 game I'll be getting this year is Ridge Racer for the Vita and I intend to buy Ridge Racer Unbounded down the line when it is released.

I can't remember what it was but I remember somebody unboxing something the other day and the manual was just a piece of paper with a link to their support page online. I think it was a keyboard.
